"Orbit Micro dabbles in a realm which few choose to enter. The world of embedded and "micro" systems. In my case I found them on the web when I was searching for a full-blown desktop class computer which could run without any moving parts (no fans, no harddrive).

Orbit micro was able to custom build a mini-ITX system with a 1.2GHz Via C7 CPU for me with my specifications. When I mean custom build, I mean they modified the case and mobo heatsinks with copper strips, extra aluminum mounts, and heat paste to cram the case with unmoving goodness.

Their work was not cheap. I paid ~$130 premium over parts alone but given the expert-level work done, I'd say it was worth it as it was not something I could have accomplished on my own. Also, I called another embedded systems shop and they told me that this type of modification was impossible and offered another product for $120 over what OrbitMicro sold ($250 total over parts).

Daniel the sales rep was easy to work with and returned my calls/e-mail with little delay. I'd say if you have a need for what OrbitMicro offers don't hesitate to give them a call."
