Scammers! They will not reply to your emails.

"BEWARE, THEY CANCELLED MY PAID RESERVATION WITHOUT OFFERING ME A SOLUTION.

READ PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES BEFORE BOOKING WITH THEM!

I booked a hotel in the centre of Barcelona for 4 nights and they have cancelled my booking a month later because they "no longer can honour this booking".

I have been offered a 3-star hotel 8km (!!) away in Sant Just Desvern (45 min away by public transport! and by law, they need to accept responsibility and offer an alternative same standard hotel in the same area. They refused to communicate beyond this appalling offer and no comply with any legislation- regulation in effect cancelled my order. Only scammers would do this so beware!

They do not reply to my emails and their customer service is just a joke.

If they don't take responsibility for a 4-night stay, imagine for a package holiday! I'm now left with a month to organise a hotel which will likely cost me £100s more if I wish to have the same location / standard. Never again will I book from otel.com

Don't let Otel.com scam you!

"Two month ago I booked a hotel for a three night stay, using otel.com. At first glance everything seamed to be fine. The immediately charged my debit card for the amount I was due and send me an confirmation e-mail, containing my reservation voucher.
The problems started when I arrived one month later at the hotel. Here thy knew nothing about my booking with otel.com. I contacted otel.com's customer service right away. They told me that they were sorry for my situation and would start Investigating, but that they could do nothing for me right away.
So I had to pay for another room at the hotel.
Since then I am trying to get my money back from otel.com. I am writing them every day and state my situation. But I am getting nowhere!
Most of the time they simply ignore me and don't answer my e-mails.
If I manage to get an answer it says only that "they are sorry for the inconvenience" or "that they are investigating the issue, and that they will contact me as soon as they know more" (They contacted me not once). But except for excuses nothing is ever happening.

So If you want to get your money's worth, you should stay away from otel.com!

DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE 1* - WORST COMPANY / WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

"I booked (and paid) for a hotel in Maldives for August 2016.

Otel.com cancelled the booking 3 days later.

This is their response after loding a complaint:

"We regret to inform you that , due to hotel entering incorrect rates to their supplier system (10 times cheaper than original) they are unable to honour this bookings since the number of bookings they received exceeded their availability significantly.

As your credit card has already been charged for the reservation, you will receive a refund of xxxx AUD. Please allow time for the refund to reflect on your credit card statement.

We are sorry that we have not been able to arrange your accommodation on this occasion, but hope that we can assist you in the near future."

The company couldn't even offer any compensation / deal for their mess up.

I would NOT recommend this company to anyone - totally unreliable.

They didn't even have the courtesy to email/ phone me to advise of this. I saw this when I logged into my account.

I tried to contact the company via Live Chat on a couple of occassions. My messages were delivered and read too but the customer service person chose not to reply to any of my messages. Appalling customer service!

"Fraud hotel info and no-refund policy.

My girlfriend and I booked a hotel which appeared to be in Yosemite national park both at otel.com and on the confirmation page after having booked the hotel at otel.com.

When we were to go to the hotel the day after it appeared that the hotel was in fact two hours outside of Yosemite and we naturally could not use the hotel.

When discovering that the booking was made as the result of a mistake on otel.com's site, we went ahead and called the hotel and cancelled our booking. They conformed that the cancellation of the booking would result in no payments being made to them.

We then called otel.com to ask them to refund our payment. It took us more than two hours on the phone and 3 emails before we got a reply. The reply was very unpolite and they did not even bother to read the attached screen dumps, which showed the error on their site. They simply stated that they do not provide refunds and that they would go ahead and close my ticket.

In few words what we experienced:
- otel.com displayed fraudent information on their site in order to trick their users into booking.
- otel.com pretty much 'stole' our money as no money was passed on to the hotel, and they kept the full amount paid by us even though a cancellation was made with the hotel.

It is companies like otel.com that influences people to lose faith in purchasing online. I think that this is wrong and believe in online companies, and therefore hope that you will help me with sharing my bad experience of otel.com by giving a 'thumbs up' to my review. Besides, try to Google 'review + otel.com', and you will find that many other users had similar experiences as I. Unfortunately this is not represented by their ratings here, as they naturally only send out rating requests to users who did not have a poor experience on their site.

You are welcome to write to me if you have questions or likewise about my experience with otel.com. I have just involved the local Ombudsman and my bank and am happy to share best practices of how you can ensure a fair trial if otel.com has tricked you as well.

"WARNING! They advertised one hotel but the reservation confirmation was for another lower profile cheap hotel from the same chain.
Firstly the customer service guy tried to persuade me the hotel listed in the confirmation was the same one I wanted, then after realising they made a mistake on the website blamed me for misreading the advert and refused to refund in full.
Next day the issue on the website was fixed and still they don't accept there was an issue. Can clearly see it on google chached pages though...
The cancellation policy said I could cancel by 25 Feb when the booking was made on 27th leaving me negative amount of days to cancel...
RUBBISH! Still can't get my money back!

"my last stay at london was through otel.com at Cumberland Hotel. Hotel is great very short distance to shopping areas and the park. Everything went very smooth. It was my 5th time in london but staying at very center at such a great rate felt very good."
