"My husband bought an OtterBox Defender Series Case for his Droid and it fell on the floor last night...the screen protector to the case cracked and all the shock of the fall absorbed into the phone and broke his phone which we are still paying on and now he can't use it...I contacted otter box and they won't do anything and said all they can do is cover product defects (I HATE TO BUST YOUR BUBBLE, BUT THIS IS A PRODUCT DEFECT; IT SHOULDN"T HAVE DONE THIS!) If we would have bought a life proof case they would have covered the damages to get it fixed and sent a new case to us...but if this would have been a life proof case this WOULD HAVE NOT happened! When i replied to this email I got an automated response sending the same email they just sent me...this company has HORRIBLE customer service and they DO NOT stand behind they products as the claim they do...don;t waste your money...go to life proof!"
"I know the product is great, but the customer service stinks. DO NOT rely on their "fedex 2 day shipping" statement. I placed an order on 10/20 (tuesday) in the evening. Guess when it is supposed to arrive? MONDAY 10/26. ALMOST ONE WEEK LATER. Does that sound like fedex 2day? I went out and had to buy one because it was so late being delivered. They are charging ME $5 to return it to them!! The cockey customer service guy admitted that its a long time but is still charging me. They don't really advertise that they need processing time, warehouse time, shipping time minus weekend, blah blah blah. God forbid you need a case. Go to BEST BUY. They are in stock there and don't have to deal with that bull. I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW, do not order thru otterbox.com You really are better off walking into Best Buy or any phone store and buying one there. Also, if you buy it at the store, they put it on for you. Big help!"
"To start, I've only ever used Otterbox Defender series cases and I've never had any issues with the protection of my phone.....save for the time it was run over by a 7 ton during my Marine Corps days. At any rate, I've always just bought new cases as I upgraded my phone and until today I'd never had to file any warranty claims. However, my phone slipped from my pocket while on a motorcycle ride and the screen beneath the glass shattered. I filed a claim with my service provider's insurance and they decided to upgrade my phone from a note 4 to a note 5. The fall also cracked/broke pieces from the charging port on the case, and I decided to inquire about a replacement case for a note 5 in lieu of the note 4 as a note 4 case would not fit my replacement phone. After sending a simple copy of the receipt from the insurance company, I was able to select a new custom note 5 case free of charge that is shipping to my doorstep as we speak. I'm more than satisfied and impressed with not only the remarkable craftsmanship and product integrity, but the customer service and warranty centers of this company. There aren't enough thanks in the world to give these great "otters" and they've found an Otterbox user for life."
"I just wanted to share with everyone what an amazing product Otterbox is. A few weeks ago while at work, I was moving some furniture up to my new office by means of the elevator. Upon the arrival to my floor, a wheeled my filing cabinet out and the wheel got stuck in the groove of the door opening of the elevator. I'm not quite sure how it happened, but my phone, which was sitting on top of the cabinet, fell off in the perfect position to fall right down the elevator shaft. We weren't quite sure how far it had fallen down, and I was a nervous wreck because my case had my license and credit cards in it. Not to mention, my phone is pretty much my life when it comes to work and needing to be in contact with people for my job. Thankfully, our maintenance worker went in search of my phone and found it 3 stories down. Much to my surprise, my phone survived completely unscathed. All that had happened was the little black piece at the bottom of my case had broken in half. I uploaded a picture of my case to Otterbox.com and they replaced my case free of charge. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Otterbox is a fantastic company with a very sturdy product, and I will be happy to continue to use Otterbox to protect all of my future phones. "
"Otterbox is great. I had to file a claim with them to get a new case and silicone skin for a galaxy s3 through the warranty and everything went so smoothly and was so easy. They get back to you fast and ship fast. They have great products and stay on top of things very well."

"I dropped my phone down an elevator shaft 3 floors. Thinking it was shattered I called to have my phone disconnected and started to look for a new one. The building manager came up with the phone fully intact with not a scratch on it. My otterbox worked better than I expected."
"I ordered the defender series case for my iphone 6. I love the case but its not quite as good as the otterbox cases made for Iphone 4 and Iphone 5. First the cover for the home button/ finger print button made the sensor not read my finger more often than not. I actually had to cut off the flimsy cover for that botton to make the sensor work (and it never fails to read my finger print now). Also the screen cover must not be flush to the screen because the touch screen is not as sensitive. I have to make sure I push my finger all the way down on the screen to get it to respond.
The volume and power buttons work fine. They are a little stiff to push but they will loosen up over time Im sure and they work fine now so not an issue.
The case looks terrific and the phone fits perfectly inside minus the built in screen cover I mentioned above. Overall I like the case but I think they can definitely improve the functionality of it with the I-phone 6. "

"I had a commuter case or 10 months and I loved this case. The quality is great and it has protected my phone during this time. I was cleaning it and saw a crack on side so I contacted the company providing a photo and next day I was sent a brand new case with no questions asked. The rep on the phone was very friendly and helpful. This company not just makes great phone cases provides great warranty. I now have a replacement case and I am very happy customer. I would recommend this case to anyone who likes to keep his phone protected while still have a stylish look."

I purchased two of these, one broke where the holster clip hooks on your belt. The other broke where the holster pivots on the clip. I received a warranty replacement for the first one after jumping through hoops, taking pictures, including a piece of white paper with my name and address included in the three photos required. This is all per the instructions received from Otterbox. They make it so difficult to get a replacement that you'll give up and not pursue it, but I did and got my replacement holster. It was a totally different model and size, didn't fit my phone. When I started this warranty incident, I sent everything they requested, photos, receipts, model number, you name it I sent it, and then they claimed they didn't receive the pictures. I sent them again, medium size jpg files, I guess they weren't smart enough to open these simple basic attached files.
I wouldn't advise anyone to buy Otterbox products, just typical Chinese junk, that breaks. I'm just sorry I spent a premium to buy these products only to find out how poor quality they are.
