"I have ordered from these people in the past, and have never had a problem, but you can measure a company by the service and support they provide after the sale.
I received an order for a replacement fuel tank assembly for my Ryobi 890r because my current one leaks at the cap. I received the replacement and installed it. The unit would run less than a minute and starve for fuel. I rechecked the lines and noticed it had a terrible vacuum when the cap was opened. I reinstalled the old tank and the unit ran fine, but of course the cap still leaked. I tried once again installing the new tank with the same results. Either the new cap was faulty and not venting, or the filter in the tank had a problem.
I contacted Outdoor Distributors via email and waited a response. I finally called them. The rep told me since I had put gas in the tank, they could not replace it. I asked how I could know it was faulty without putting fuel in it? She told me that was their policy and I was on my own. She did tell me if I took it to a place that sold the parts they would replace it, and gave me a number. I called them and they wanted $15 to send it back, but the tank only cost me $12. So pretty much I'm screwed. I went ahead and just purchased a replacement from the local source, and will just throw the faulty tank in the trash.
I will never purchase from Outdoor Distributors again. The were neither helpful or sympathetic of my problem. They are there to sell parts, and as long as you don't have a problem you are okay. But as far as service they are the worst I have ever dealt with.
