"This is my second purchase from PC Torque. Their customer support is always very responsive. I had no problems getting repairs under warranty with my last laptop, even though I could have been at fault for causing the issue. My only issue with my recent purchase has to do with attempting to make a cash payment to receive a discount. I made the mistake of using Bank of America's Online Bill Pay. The check was never delivered and delayed the process by a week and a half. So if you want to make a cash payment I suggest using the traditional wire payments or mailing in a check yourself. But now I'm looking forward to getting my kick ass laptop delivered tomorrow.

"I ordered a customized Sager notebook from PC Torque.

Among four or five US distributors of Clevo-based notebooks I contacted, PCT was the friendliest. They answered quite a few questions I had, quickly and to the point - even got an answer over the weekend, and they honoured all my specific requests.

They were also the only ones who offered a significant discount for a (really hefty) UPS fee for international shipment. (For some reason, UPS charges for shipping to Central Europe about the same as shipping to the top f Himalayas.)

Besides PCT solved a small screw-up the bank made with the money transfer - quickly and without much further ado - though it had cost them a couple of bucks.

Even sent me a Vantec lock (that I originally ordered, but guys at Sager somehow forgot to pack it along with the notebook), immediately after I told them it wasn't included - without any further questions and any additional shipping costs (which probably amounted to two or three times the price of the lock itself).

I don't usually buy such pricey items over the Net and was a bit worried at first, and not at all surprised about the bank and packaging glitches - though none were PCT's fault and they did their best to smooth them out to my satisfaction.

Overall, buying the notebook from PC Torque turned out to be quite a pleasant experience and I can only recommend them."

"In July I bought a NP5797. Since I have received the computer, I have had NO problems! Build quality is amazing, the computer is fast and plays games like a dream, and has a very edgy look, yet maintains a sense of professionalism, meaning it looks cool but is not overly gaudy(Alienware). The reason I went with PC Torque over other Sager resellers was because of the option to include a Accidental Damage Protection Warranty. This really was the deal breaker for me. I thought that it was ridiculous that all of the other resellers did not offer this option considering it is a $2400 laptop, a huge investment for a college student. I have been very pleased with PC Torque so far and I hope that my future business with them is just as pleasant and smooth."

"I am quite pleased with the service I got from pctorque, though I didn't see any service over the weekends like some have posted. No big deal though.

In order to save ~$300 in California state sales tax, the laptop had to be shipped to NY and then back to me.

I had paid for overnight shipping. They charged me a little more, but I was able to get it shipped 2 day to NY and 2 day to me and even got a saturday delivery.

The np9280 is huge, but not as heavy as I expected. Vista had all kinds of trouble installing on it, but I figured it out after a few hours of frustration. The trick is when Vista installer gives you the chance to load drivers, load EVERY driver off the included driver CD.

The bios wasn't flashed with the new BIOS that supports XP.

I would absolutely recommend pctorque to anyone considering an online laptop purchase.
