"I purchased 3 refurbished Brother desktop printers, first they did not have printer they advertised so they substitute with another printer, once I received they packaged in random boxes filled with peanuts once I took it out printer looked like garage sale printer all beat up scoffed and discoloration, I contacted customer service to return 5 days later no respond for RMA worst experience ever DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH PC & MORE."
"I ordered a Dell port replicator on May 17th for $10 less than all the other resellers. I received a confirmation email of my order immediately but after that there was no communication. After 5 days I called and got an answering system so I left a message. No one returened my call. I sent an emai, still no response.
I sent another email, 10 days later, stating that I would seek a paypal refund by issuing a complaint if I didn't get information on when the product was going to ship. They repsonded by saying that they would issue a refund. The redund never was issued to my papal account and when I wrote them again they said I must first return the product and that I had been put on their "trash" server list so no further communication would be possible. At this point, with no product and no way to communicate, I had to file a complaint with paypal.
I am currently working with paypal to get a refund. Be warned to NEVER to business with this "bait and switch" company!"
"Based on a search of the web, I found PCs and More offered the Dell 2001FP monitor for a total price of $719 ($89 less than Dell's lowest price offered). I placed the order on 2002-01-26, the order was acknowledged and my credit card was charged within minutes (via PayPal which they insisted I use if buying this one item only).
However, I received no further information from them and 10 days later I emailed them to ask about the situation. They said the order would take time to fill and was extremely non-responsive about when the order would be completed. In fact they seemed to actively encourage me to seek a refund via PayPal.
I told them that I'd be willing to wait until such time has elapsed that I could not seek recourse either thru PayPal or my credit card company but no more. At that point, rather than attempt to complete the order, PCs and More basically said in clear terms that if I'd really was willing to wait, I wouldn't be seeing the monitor anytime soon and might as well seek that refund ASAP. With this kind of response, I has no choice but to file for a refund via PayPal.
I am happy to say that the refund did come through smoothly and in a timely manner via PayPal. However, I wasted much time and effort and lost opportunity to buy this monitor elsewhere. Although I can't prove it, this experience would seem to me to be a case of a company practicing illegal "bait advertising" in that PCs and More was advertising an item for a bargain price to attract customers but which they did not sincerely wish to sell this item at that price.
Beware of this and any company that pulls these kinds of stunts!
