"false advertisement, pac 2000 say they will match any web or advertised price, but when confronted with competitors prices they don't match anything, pac 2000 made excuses about competition not being an authorized reseller, when they really are. bad experience. finally bought from competition."
"I ordered a 61" JVC DILA rear projection TV from Pac-2000 on 11/27/04. I spoke with customer service via their 'Live Chat' (text based messaging) on their website. Live Chat was handy, but the CS rep took long to respond, sometimes, up to 15 minutes (said he was very busy). I have since used 'Live Chat' for shipping updates, etc. and was replied to much faster.
Since I opted for the White Glove delivery, I was told right up front that it takes 10-15 days for shipment to arrive since it comes via common carrier. I inquired a few days after placing my order and was told the TV shipped 12/01/04. Since it is common carrier, there is no tracking number to confirm. A couple weeks passed and I didn't receive the TV yet so I contacted them via 'Live Chat' and confirmed that it had shipped and was told that it hasn't been 10-15 business days yet and that it should be there no later than 12/22. Sure enough, the TV arrived on 12/21/04 via common carrier in perfect condition. My only beef is that I had to help the truck driver carry the TV into the front door myself. Since I had paid extra for the White Glove delivery, the truck driver waited until I unpacked and inspected the tv. He also took all the old packing material/box away with him.
Overall, my experience with Pac-2000 was very good. Just be advised up front that customer service is only easily reached via their 'Live Chat' and that delivery can take a long time if shipped using their White Glove delivery. In Pac-2000's credit, delivery was within their quoted timeframe.
Bottom line is they had a great price, an offer for 0% interest for 2 years, and they delivered what they promissed."
"FRAUD WARNING concerning PAC-2000. First, they send a defective television. Despite repeated good faith attempts to obtain a refund involving phone conversations and emails with hostile personnel, they send a replacement, which I refused on delivery. Next, the company sends a threatening email that I will not be issued a refund and that a charge card reversal will be challenged. Basically, PAC-2000 sent defective merchandise, files a claim for insurance money with the shipping company and then thwarts consumer attempts to obtain refunds. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, The Consumer Protection Agency and the the Internet Fraud Division of their state's Attorney General's Office. I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with this company. "
"My experience with PAC2000 started when I ordered a TV stand. It arrived (without any prior tracking info provided by pac 2000) when I was just about to leave the house. I was lucky enough to catch the UPS in time and open the box. The box was wet and was packaged poorly as there was no styrophone shock obsorbers or cardboard protectors. The stand was free to slide around in the box and sure enough a piece of it was damaged. Well, both UPS and PAC2000 are responsible for this: PAC2000 didn't pack it well while UPS had difficulty reading the word "Fragile" written all over the box. Fine, these things happen so I called Pac2000 to try to resolve it. I was surprised to find out that they have a dummy phone system. Basically you can't speak to a live person. You call in, leave a message and someone may get back to you. I don't like this kind of arrangement. I contacted them online, and they responded that they would ship a new one out to me using a different carrier. That took about a week to happen, and my communication with them was at best lousy and at worst non-existant. The second stand arrived and it wasn't damaged even though it was packaged poorly without any protection. All of this wouldn't be so bad if they had a more effective form of communication with a customer, because as of now their strategy seems to avoid talking to the customer at all costs. Basically, if there is a chance that something might go wrong with your order, PAC2000 is by no means qualified to handel it as they simply do not care about the customer."
