"I have been ordering from Park Seed for years and have always been reasonably happy. Not sure what is going on this year but I placed my order in January. At the end of April I received this email which said "We regret to inform you that several items on your order is no longer available". 1) How is it no longer available when I ordered in early January? 2) Because it took 3 months to tell me that my order had been cancelled I can't purchase the seeds elsewhere because by now they are sold out everywhere. I sent 2 emails in early May providing my order number and my query and never heard back. When I called customer service and asked how they had sold out of the item when I ordered so early he got quite snippy and said he didn't know and that he couldn't provide further information and disconnected. I was never rude just curious as to what really happened. Really not a good way to treat customers. I will not be ordering from them again. Too many other good seed companies who go out of their way to communicate.

"I have ordered perennial and some annuals(sunflower} seeds ordered from this company over past three years. The first year I got wildflower seeds that actually germinated in the ground and grew. But it was only one species out of the numerous ones listed on the package. The past two years, any seeds I plant do NOT even produce a thing. I also ordered 2 Nepeta Cats pajamas plants which are doing ok so far. BUT ---- The special zinnia seeds were planted and watered sufficiently and they never produced one plant yet and it's mid-May in Oklahoma. I should see something by now. Very disappointed!! Going back to Proven Winners and seeds from Ace or Home Depot. I will NEVER EVER purchase anything from this company again. The seeds are a waste of my money. This company seems to take no pride in their products!!!!!! or service. "
"I ordered a Portabella Mushroom Kit and instead they sent me a less expensive Button Mushroom Kit. Since I notified them of the problem, they have completely ignored me. I've dealt with Park Seeds and some of their sister companies for quite awhile, but never again. The review I left on their website has gone unpublished."
"Have used Parks seeds and plants for 5 years. Until 2 years ago I bought Whopper tomato plants from Home Depot. The past two years I ordered seeds and bought plants as well when the PARKS seeds NEVER ARRIVED. This year ordered PARKS seeds from Amazon and now in the same situation, no seeds, no tracking number no customer service except they claim to send replacements that never come.
Last years crop was dismal. Plants were not Whoppers, yield was poor and fruit was small. Will not go down this path with Parks plants or seeds again. Certainly not the company it used to be.."
"I am a Certified Texas Master Gardener specializing in propagation, our Association's newsletter editor, and contribute research articles, too. I am cognizant that the majority of reviews are negative, which is why I was concerned about ordering from Park Seed. I was pleasantly surprised. Their seed packaging is among the best I've experienced. Their ordering and shipping processes were clear and transparent. Seeds arrived promptly. I sent two inquiries on how to best start seed and grow plants from their Echinacea 'Cheyenne Spirit' seed offering. I got helpful, concise responses from a knowledgeable horticulturist. In my experience, their sales and customer service are well above average, and I would order from Park Seed again."
"POOR quality seeds
POOR quality seeds. I ordered and planted radish, beet, and carrot seeds. Most of them did not grow. The ones that did were small, withered, and wrinkled. The carrots that did grow were bitter or tasteless. When I voiced this to Park Seed company they would not make any adjustments to my order. I would NOT recommend this company. Poor product and poor service."
"I tried to order a product and once I ordered the product it would disappear and not allow me to print off the invoice and no invoice was ever emailed to me. I called the company and tried talking with a very rude supervisor, Grace Nelson, who would rather argue with me about my order than fix my problem. She continued to argue with me about my order and how I never ordered anything. I finally ended the phone call because she refused to stop arguing with me about my order. I received a double order. My purchasing department accepted the orders and I was not able to return them but I guarantee I will never do business with this company again."
"I ordered a young blueberry plant and it came in a large box full of styrofoam peanuts. Not the plant-based foam peanuts. The price was fair and the plants arrived in decent shape. But so have other live plants I've ordered from other vendors who don't use such an environmentally detrimental product. Park Seed will make a profit off of nature, but they sure don't care about it."
"I ordered 12 plants from Park Seed, took awhile to receive them, they didn't even send me an email to let me know they had shipped. When I finally received my order I received 9 of the plants 2 which were completely water logged & dead, our of the other 7 only 3 look like they will survive. I sent an email about the issue & never heard anything back so after a week I called & spoke with customer service about the issue & she offered me a credit for the two dead plants to be used next year, I told her I didn't plan on ordering from them again & wanted to also cancel the back order on the other 3 plants. She then advised me it had already been canceled because they weren't available, again no email to let me know this, so I told her I wanted a credit back to my credit card for the dead plants, she said she would send thru a credit, but no surprise I haven't seen it yet. I wish I had seen these reviews before I bought, lesson learned.

"I have been ordering from Park Seed since the 80s, and my family members have been ordering from them even longer. We've always been happy with them.
But lately they must have a bunch of really crappy employees working there, or they are VERY short staffed, because orders take FOREVER to ship, they never respond to customer service emails, they take days to respond on social media, they don't answer the phones.
I have a couple of orders I placed on May 19th and May 26th that have shipped (minus one packet of seeds that was supposed to ship on June 1st and still hasn't as of the 4th), but the tracking numbers still say they are invalid on every single shipping company I checked, including UPS, DHL, USPS, FedEx, and a few other smaller companies.
This is absolutely unacceptable given the planting window for what I ordered is rapidly closing. It's been 16 days since I placed my first of these two orders, and I still don't even have a valid tracking number!
And of course their website is completely devoid of any notice that they are experiencing shipping delays and horrible delays in responding to customer service requests, so people are still ordering, completely oblivious to these unacceptable delays.
This is so heartbreaking, as I ordered the seeds for my very first garden back in the 80s from them when I was only a tween, and I've always ordered from them whenever I've had a garden.
They've gone downhill terribly, and I don't expect them to be in business much longer if this continues. They're alienating their loyal customers very quickly."
"Have been on hold now for 45 minutes with Park Seed Company trying to get an answer to a question about an order. No one answers the phone. I would not do business with this company again. Even if they are busy I think 45 minutes on the phone with a seed company is much too long to wait."
"I placed a large order of multiple fruits and melons and berries. The MAJORITY of the plants arrived in horrible condition. I will learn from my lesson, and never order from you again. I have too many half dead plants to ship them back to you, so I will just eat the expense, and learn a valuable lesson. I am very disappointed.....I was so excited to receive my multiple melon / fruit plants......hopefully they are not totally dead and I will be able to resurrect these dead and dying twigs. And I only received part of my order......hopefully, the rest of the order will arrive in MUCH better condition than these half dead plants....just very disappointed."
"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY
Over a month ago I placed 2 orders with Park Seeds, totaling nearly $100. I have NEVER received my order, nor has it even been shipped. After numerous attempts to contact Park Seeds via email and telephone, I finally spoke to a live person....after 90 minutes on hold. She told me (very rudely) that 1. Although my order and payment had been received , it had not been shipped and they had no idea when it would be 2. No, I could not cancel the order 3. No, my money would not be refunded 4. (In effect) I could go jump in the lake.
This constitutes fraud, and internet fraud at that. They have my money and I have nothing. Sounds like stealing to me!!
UNLESS YOU LIKE TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY, STEER CLEAR OF THESE CROOKS!"
"I purchased something from them 2 weeks ago and have tried contacting them SEVERAL times via email and FB to start a refund. The product did NOT look like it did online and seemed very cheap. The only response I have received is "we are busy". HORRIBLE customer service and I will NEVER order from them again!"
"I placed an order on March 27. On March 30, I called to ask if it had been shipped. The reply: they had a question about my address. (my address was correct). So even tho Park had my email and my phone, instead of calling me, they let my order sit for FOUR days, and it would still be sitting if I hadn't called. The person I spoke to assured me it would be shipped Monday April 2, and that I would get an email confirming that. I did NOT get an email. Monday I called and asked to speak to a customer service supervisor, was told he or she was busy and would call me back. Never called back. Friday I got an email saying "Thank you for ordering from Park Seed", which sounds very much like Park Seed messed up again. It said nothing about being shipped. No reply to my email. Next action is to contact Better Business Bureau. I have already started contacting every gardening forum I am on. Warning people about the company with the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE in the business.
