"I was able to track down the part thru model number and manufacturer. The service company I had was unable to find the part, was unavailable according to them. I found it at PartSelect. It may pay for itself if the radiant cook top as a whole continues to function another 2 years, we shall see. The part was a control switch for a main large cook element. Was installed by my service contract company, works good so far. The switch was $177.60 delivered, a new cook top over $1000."

"I have purchased parts for my Refrigerator, Oven and Dryer over the last few years and have been able to successfully repair my appliances. I especially like the troubleshooting guides, suggestions and videos that they provide to narrow down parts you need for a specific problem. The diagrams and tips provided are of great help in troubleshooting. I recently order a part for a Refrigerator, and it turned out defective. It worked for about two weeks and then my Refrigerator would frost up and would just not get cold enough. I called customer service and talked to a person who was very helpful, and he refunded the part plus the express shipping chg. He then sent me out the new part and did not charge shipping. I received an e-mail conformation, and the customer service rep listed an additional part that might be a temp sensor that might be part of the problem. I ordered the part and when the parts arrived, I installed them and that did the trick. The Refrigerator works great and it's about 9 years old. On any appliances that I have repaired using Parts Select I have saved the cost of having to buy a whole new appliance because of the cost for someone to come out and repair them and doing so I have saved the cost of the labor and service call. The oven I have is over 20 years old and I replaced various parts through the year. None of the parts exceeded what a new oven would have cost. The oven works great just like new. The website had mostly complete information & the YouTube videos were helpful to ensure we actually ordered the right parts & understood how to accomplish the task ahead. Our refrigerator is nearly 40 years old, so some of the instructions weren't quite accurate, but we managed. We had a few extra parts that weren't needed, but better than not having enough. When I ordered, I did not realize that the parts were not OEM parts for Kitchenaid, however for this repair they appeared to be suitable.
