"They appear to be out of business despite the fact that their webpage can take orders. No response to emails and the phone number is disconnected. My order was processed and I got a confirmation, but fortunately my PayPal payment was never processed so I don't think it's a scam...just out of business."
"I ordered two remote reading wireless thermometers (Chaney #985's)and they arrived a few days later. The items are complete junk. There is no way that they don't know that they are selling junk. You can even see it on their "Return" policy. It would be one thing if the unit was just a defective item however, it is easy to tell how the lack of quality immediately when you open it. I put batteries in the display unit it and the remote sensors. The unit did seem to connect to the remote sensors however on the display unit all of the lcd elements were showing to some extent. If you held the unit just right you could tell what the temperatures were supposed to be. Within about 8 hours all of the display elements had gone out. That seemed odd so I checked the batteries and sure enough they were dead. Put new batteries in it, same initial partial display of all of the lcd elements and again in about 8 hours the batteries went dead again. "
"Terrible customer service. I advise you to not order from this company!
To keep it short, I ordered a weather device, but it was not shipped. After 8 days of no email or call, I emailed to inquire where my shipment was. I was informed my order was on hold. After complaining via email, Sharon Hewes, who identified herself as part-owner of the company said this issue was my fault and they would not do anything to help me. I was told an email was sent, but I never got any such email. I did however give them my phone number and request a call in the original invoce and in subsequent emails. They canceled my order. I explained this was time-sensitive and asked for a phone call to resolve the issue and asked them to rush-ship it at their expense, but then I was told I was a bully. This was highly unprofessional and I was insulted. I could not find what I needed quickly elsewhere, so I replaced my order and paid everything in full.
What a terrible experience. They even have an ethics policy about treating their customers as they want to be treated... what a load of garbage. Please think about finding what you need on Amazon or similar as I wish I spent the time doing... many of the same products are available there."
"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! We ordered the Acu-Rite Clock with thermometer. It arrived with (4) broken/missing hands to the clock & thermometer gauges. Obviously, the merchandise was not inspected before shipment. After speaking with Partshelf directly-I was VERY disappointed. The woman I spoke with was rude & not helpful at all. In fact, she suggested we fix the clock ourselves as there was nothing they could or would do about it. My suggestion-take your business somewhere else! Luckily-the company that makes the Acu-Rite clock was VERY helpful & supportive. They replaced our merchandise without question. "
"I bought a wireless thermometer that turned out to be defective. When I called a couple of weeks later to get a replacement, they said it was the probe that's defective and they wouldn't replace it. I spoke with a very rude lady named Sharon. I suggest going anywhere else but partshelf.com for anything."
"Excellent. Order was shipped same day as placed, and tracking information emailed. Items were well packed to protect against damage. Very happy with my purchase from this merchant."
"Worst on line purchase I have ever made. I purchased a clock radio (Oregon Scientific) that is supposed to synchronize with the US atomic clock radio signal. I placed the unit opn my nightstand and ran it for 3 days and it neither synched with the radio signal, nor did it display the temperature from the remote outdoor temperature sensor. I paid $8 to send it back to them.
They replied that they 'tested the unit and it is not defective' and said they would be sending it back. I immediately sent the following email:
Well the unit does not function in my house. I will refuse delivery and initiate a dispute with Mastercard, DO NOT SENT THE UNIT BACK___ IT DOES NOT WORK IN MY HOME
They returned the unit anyway and basically said I had to buy it.
When they sent it back they sent it by USPS so I could not refuse the package. THe post office left it at my front door, which we never use, and since I was not expecting a package I did not check for one. Well by the time I opened my front door it was probably 3 days after the mailman had left it there and it had rained about an inch during this time.
I have started a dispute with Mastercard to get my money back.
Partshelf.com site says: e-commerce the way it should be- well I think it should say e-commerce the way it should not be.
Read all their return policies before you order anything from this outfit- they have horrid customer service and hostile return policies- I will never buy anything from them again."
"Did not see any recent reviews so…
- Site was well laid out
- Item detail/descriptions were excellent. Provided enough detail to compare to other ‘like’ products to make an informed decision
- Packaging was first-rate - absolutely no way it could have been better! (Even had a “Fragile Delicate Instrument” label affixed to the exterior of the package)
- Shipped the day after the order was placed. Placed order on a weekend.
- Notified via UPS’s Quantum View.

"A detailed description of my transaction is below the list of Pros/Cons.
Pros:
- site is easy to navigate
- pricing was very competitive on all the products I was researching, and it was over 10% less than the next lowest price for my specific item (after including shipping charges
- the site shows current inventory when you place the item in the cart (and an email to them confimed that the inventory was correctly listed)
- shipped VERY quickly (same day for an order placed just before 5 PM ET). Placed order around 5 PM ET on Tuesday and received package on Thursday morning using their standard shipping.
- Email notifications were sent quickly and at every stage of the order.
- Customer service via email was very quick AND helpful.
- product was exactly as descibed and packaged well.
- They are a member of the Better Business Bureau Reliability Program
Cons (both very minor to me)
- shipping was more than I would have liked ($7.88 on a $112 digital watch) but the overall total price was still much lower than I could have found anywhere else AND it shipped very quickly.
- had to enter in my shipping/billing address instead of being allowed to select it from my yahoo shopping account.
I will definitely shop here again.
Found a Casio Pathfinder SPF40-1VCR digital watch for over 10% less than any other site via several online pricing sites.
Sent an email to them at 2:26 PM ET on Tuesday to verify if it was in-stock. Received an email back at 3:56 PM confirming that it was in-stock. I then emailed back at 4:03 PM ET asking if it would ship today if I placed the order. Partshelf replied back at 4:11PM ET. Stating they may get it out today and definitely would tomorrow. I placed my order at 4:21 PM ET, immediately received email notification or my order via Yahoo Shopping, and I notified them via email so that they could try to get it shipped out today. They replied back at 5:24 PM ET, stating that they were able to send it out. I received an email confirming that the order had shipped as well as the tracking number at 5:52 PM ET.
You can't ask for better customer service than that, and to get that for the lowest price is even better.

"When there was a problem with my shipping address, Partshelf contacted me immediately by e-mail. Once I corrected the problem, they fulfilled my complete order the next day. I will be buying more products from them."
"Consider other vendors!
They charged my credit card immediately upon ordering, they did not keep me informed on the status of my order, they have yet to deliver product, they won't reply to my e-mails, they won't answer phone, and I won't use them again."
"Zero customer service. I ordered an item on 12/6/2002 and was immediately charged the price including shipping. I have had no feedback from company regarding the status of the order and as expressed in another comment they don't answer e-mails and their phone number has a full voice mailbox. Even my requests to cancel the order have not been addressed as such I'm forced to dispute the charge. I would stay clear of these people even if the price is tempting (you get what you pay for!)"
"This small operation struggles to provide reasonable Customer response. However, in the end, all ordered items arrived in good shape. If purchasing during the busy holiday season, allow plenty of time and don't bother with the phone number: ***-***-****. "
"A perfect transaction. Partshelf has great prices and great service.
I received a confirmation right after I ordered (on a Saturday) and on the next Monday I received notification that my order shipped. They included all necessary tracking information.
My ordered arrived well packed and in perfect working condition.
I wish all on-line vendors were this good!"
"I have purchased from them a couple of times over the years and am very pleased. They have great prices, they don't gouge on shipping and they have great service!
Recently I needed a UDMA IDE cable. I went to best buy and they wanted $18!!! I did a price search and found the same thing at partshelf for $0.99. UPS came up as $5, but that was fine with me because it was still the best price on the net. I placed the order, and to my pleasant surprise they emailed me saying they shipped it by mail instead and saved me $4!"
