"Good and fast emails about confirmation and shipping status, Fast delivery, would do business again."
"Third transaction with this company. Would highly recommend. No personal contact necessary and all items as listed and professionaly assembled. Excellent service."
"I ordered 2 machines and needed parts that couldn't find anywhere else. PC Pro Direct acquired them and put the systems together and had them delivered on time. "
"I recommend these guys. Thet built me a computer to my specs, talked me out of getting stuff I didn't need, and thankfully convinced me to get some things I didn't think I needed.
Good price..good service. "
"First off, I have no idea how I found these folks. Just looking for a new computer with a price that wouldn't bleed my bank account dry but features that had every right to.
I saw "Bare Bones PC $102.60 " and read more. What a great idea...build your own PC with just the mother board a given. A drop down menu for each item made it simple. I mean you even chose which fan you wanted !! 20-30 different processors, same # of hard drives, a floppy disk drive?. I didn't really want one but it was $9.00 or something like that. But if none of this sells you on these people, the last selection you have to make will...30-40 different covers to choose from !! Yellow, blue, red scorpians, neon lights flying around etc. I thought Black & off white were it.
I got a computer that flys for $595 including shipping !! and it only has what I need. Customer service has been perfect, the product looks so cool and runs like a dream and if someday it doesn't, I have a lifetime warranty on labor.

"This store is pretty good. I have shopped newegg and others as well. This store competes fairly well on price. But its real advantage is apparent to those of us who are really lazy. They put the stupid machine together a very slight markup. I just ordered my 3rd machine. The first was for my own use, the second for the office. The third was for my inlaws. They had a hard disk crash. I could have fixed the component for $60 but it was easier for me to buy a new machine for $341 rather then deal with their p400 old junk heap of a machine. I am very satisfied with this vendor."
"I purchased a computer from this company back in April. A few months ago, we attempted to use a new video graphics card and larger hard drive when we discovered that the Asus bios did not support them. Contacted PCProDirect regarding this problem and we were told that the bios was not an upgraded one and would need to be flashed. They sent us the program to do it and we went at it. Unfortunately, flashing the bios is always dangerous and it failed. Of course, the bios chip was no longer good. We contacted them and they said this was common and that we should ship them the bios chip and they would send us a new one that is already flashed. As per warranty, we paid for the shipping and sent the old bios chip and waited 10 days to receive the new one. We did receive it within the 10 days but unfortunately it was not flashed and had several other problems. We contacted PCProDirect again and they said to send them the entire system this time. Find, but we were to pay for the shipping again even though this was not our fault.
The company obviously failed to send us the proper chip and to pay over $30 dollars for their mistake I feel is inappropriate. When I spoke to the CEO of the company about this, he refused to cover the cost and said that it was 6 months ago and they shouldn't even be fixing it anyway even though the computer was covered for a full year under warranty. When I told him that it was unaccpetable to expect me to pay for the shipping due to their negligence he got upset and said they would refuse to sell anything to us any longer. I feel this matter was handled terribly. I will admit that I received the computer timely. But customer service such as this is unacceptable. It does not matter to me that they will no longer sale to us. But it does upset me that I now have a 6 month computer that is completely useless and the company will not be fixing it even though it is still under warranty. I will be going through Asus to fix this problem, but PCProDirect is definitely a company I will no longer be purchasing from and will be advising customers, family and friends to do the same."
"I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PURCHASE. VIDEO CARD HAD SHAKEN LOOSE DURING SHIPPING, BUT ONE CALL TO TECH SUPPORT AND IT WAS FIXED. WOULD BUY AGAIN. GOOD PRICE, GOOD QUALITY, GOOD TECH SUPPORT."
"Ordered mostly a barebones system. I didn't order a harddrive, so it wasn't a complete system. I was pretty satisfied with the purchase."
"About a year ago I purchaced two barebones systems from this company. One for me and one for my brother. I have been extremely pleased with the computers performance and how quickly I received the product. About 2 months ago the power supply in my computer quit its job. They sent a replacement quickly. I was very happy. Then that power supply recently died too. E-mailed them to issue a new RMA # to return it, but they wanted me to called tech support. I didn't understand why they couldn't just e-mail me the number. Any way I ended up just buying a new supply on my own. No biggie. My brother wanted a new hard drive so I placed the order on August 2, 2004 and it shipped today the 4th. I am very pleased with that also. I will let you know the condition of the product at a later date. I am a little irritated with the cost of shipping. $13 dollars to ship a hard drive! Hopefully they can work on that.
The website is great. Very easy to navigate. I expecially like how you can customize everything. Even the OS. It was a major factor in determining which company I was going to purchase my barebones with.
Over all I am very pleased with PCProDirect. I have spoken to their tech representative Chris and he was very professional and polite. In the future I am planning on purchasing a Notebook computer and PCPro is at the top of my list. I give them an 8 out of 10.
*Ended up using the new Hard drive in my computer because my brother has an older OS and I didn't feel like obtaining the drivers for it. Installed the new drive into my computer without any problem. Wish it came with its own driver CD. Still give PCPRO 8 out of 10."
"UPDATE 2: Got a call from some fella asking me to update my review to favorable. Seems like they are concerned about their rating and business which I see as a good thing. They did refund my money, including shipping, so I will oblige.
UPDATE: So Alex from pcprodirect called me back and was very courteous and helpful. He explained the mixup with substituting the new core, and said I would get the full refund without a restocking fee. The first tech was a bonehead but Alex was very polite and professional. Too bad my 2 year old mobo is crap though cuz I still can't find a Palomino core for it.
Normally don't post something like this but just take a look at the reviews for pcprodirect's real name, xtechnology (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1930.html)I ordered an Athlon XP 2100+ (Palomino core, part#AX2100DMT3C) as listed on their website as .18 micron. I received a Thoroughbred core (part# AXDA2100DUT3C) which won't work in my motherboard. Couldn't convince the ignorant tech that the part numbers dictate the type of core. Had to settle for the 15% restocking fee, plus $15 for shipping on a processor?? Only spent $3 to send it back. Only out $25 total but it still sucks. "
"Terrific follow-through bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla "
"ORDERED 20 COMPUTERS ALL WERE FINE!!!!!!!!!!
PRICE WAS RIGHT"
"Great Price for barebones System. Had a problem installing my hard drives from another machine which was running a dual operating system, but I think this was a problem related to the motherboard. I will order again form them. "
"Very easy to use and beat 90% of other companies at time of search. Very happy with PCProDirect! Will place in top 10 suppliers used!"
