"Performance PDA replaced the screen and digitizer in my Palm Treo 600 last year for which I paid $40. Guess what? It's broken again. When i contacted them with some questions regarding repairing it myself, a warranty statement they made and their policy regarding the repair they'd made, i received a shocking response which i've pasted into this review. actually several responses.
here's my 1st question "So if I had my screen replaced by you last year can I return it and get a new one since it’s not working again?"
response #1 "The protection plan is a reward for the return of a lost covered item. You seem to be a nut case that I want nothing to do with."
my response "Oh I see, now that I took the time to actually read what the protection plan is for. And I’m sure you’re joking about your “nut case” comment. In these days of transparency can you really afford to be calling a customer names? It’s so easy to have your reputation tarnished and it can happen in an instant. Be careful about the use of your words. I’m just trying to understand what you’ve written on your website. Is it too much to ask for clarification?
I do still need my phone fixed or replaced. Are you going to refuse my business now that you’ve deemed me a “nut case”? "

"Ordered Treo 700P screen/digitizer. installed this part in my Treo. the new part would not power up. Replaced with my old screen, it powered up as expected. Called Ed Jemmings at Performancepda who responded that it's my problem, no returns. He was very combative. I made a mistake in doing business with this company. Beware of this Company."
"Quoted me a price for a bulk order. I purchased part of the order the first week and would purchase the remainder the following week. The next week, they jacked the price up by $45, said they no longer had the amount I had requested the week prior, and they are VERY slow to return emails. They do not return phone calls."
