"I rarely review the products that I purchase, but I have to brag about
my computer!

I purchased the computer in January of this year. There was a long
research process leading up to the purchase. I needed a powerful system
for use with some 3D applications that I use, including MicroStation and
AutoCad. These programs require extremely powerful computers to run
right.

I have looked in many local stores and with online vendors including
Alienware, Dell, Gateway, Falcon Northwest, Voodoo PC and then I
stumbled across Pharaoh PC website. The site itself was not as flashy as
some others, but it allowed me to configure a system and see details
about every component. When you save a quote you can specify whether you
want to be contacted by their people and if you put in your phone number
or email they call back.

The price that I got from Pharaoh PC was not the best and I was
skeptical about them because there were no reviews on this site. My
doubts were blown away after a conversation with Max - he's the chief
tech there and is amazingly knowledgeable. He told me more about their
company and also went through the configuration that I chose and
recommended some changes. Now, normally salespeople try to sell you more
and more, right? Not Max! He talked me into substituting some components
for cheaper ones, claiming that the performance will not be harmed. He
even researched the software that I was planning to use and recommended
configuration changes that would improve performance. He really cares
about his customers - he took the time to discuss all the details with
me, we must have talked every day for 2 weeks and he did not show signs
of irritation!

I was still unconvinced, because I did not have anyone else's feedback,
but that changed: I attended a seminar and happened to meet a guy who
owned a computer that was built by Max. He was very happy with his
system and with the support that he received. This was the last straw
and I ordered my PC the next day.

It took close to a month for the computer to be built and tested. During
the time I bugged Max for status updates and he always let me know how
things were going. Finally the system was ready! I decided to pick it up
in the store instead of having it shipped - they're only a 30 minute
drive away from my house.

When I got the system home and took it out of a box I was blown away -
the case looked even better than it did on pictures. Then I set up the
computer and was blown away again - this time by the performance - it
was even better than what I expected.

I have to mention the interior of the computer - all cables are very
nicely arranged and everything is easy to access. I added a controller
card for my plotter and was really impressed with the interior design of
my computer.

I have had to call support twice because of software issues - I picked
up a spyware infection and there was a conflict between one of my
printer drivers and the antivirus software and both times I was able to
speak to Max and he helped me in no time.

I am more than happy with my computer, I am in love with it!

"I bought two different computers from this company - a "mid-priced" system for video and audio editing, and a "high performance" system with raid drives, FX-55 processor and fast everything. One of the company's techs, Max, was extremely helpful in many ways - not only in helping me configure the systems I wanted, but also in dealing with problems arising from damage during shipment on one of the machines. In fact, even little problems with Windows that I was having, trying to get everything to work the way I wanted, Max provided the solutions.

The computers were significantly less than buying from Dell for the same performance, and the service/backup from Max was much better than the "read a script from India" approach of most of the big guys.
