"Platinum Records isnt a bad company, but their shippers are! This company uses UPS and FEDEX to ship packages. i ordered some Stanton V3 cdj turntables from them (grand total $1,002.00. It was shipped by UPS. the turntables arrived completely damaged! (i mean, destroyed). Platinum Records Lights and Sound responded (Paul Lynch) and told me they would send me new ones. after a little waiting and back n forth communication about UPS, the new ones came (i sent the old ones back with paid shipping from them which was really cool). they sent a second set. this set was MISSING a whole turntable and cables and the other turntable was damaged! the mixer was damaged too. the missing parts were due to the wrong package being sent to me which were partial sets being sold for less. it was a warehouse mistake. but it was insane as well. i called and began another complaint. after a lot of back n forth bullsh*t i was sent a 3rd final set which arrived with damage to the case it was in AGAIN. LOL are u kidding me i thought!!! i just said screw it and kept them. the damage was minimal this time, but nonetheless every package arrived damaged. it came in double layers. one original box inside another outer shipping box. i thought it would be pretty bang proof. obviously not. UPS ships stuff like its junk being tossed around. most of my huge hassles with getting new tables was talking to UPS and them doing an investigation on me and refusing to act and except responsibility for the damage which Platinum Records just by passed and ended up sending me new ones each time. UPS are corrupt when it comes to them damaging purchases. WATCH OUT!
overall Platinum Records Lights and Sound is a good company. its UPS that screws up the shipping.
Despite my issues with UPS's shipping, Platinum Records Lights and Sound is a good company i would just try to get better shipping if possible if you order expensive equipment like this.
