"I placed this order online and received the email receipt telling me to expect my order in 5-7 days... Six days later I looked online to check the status of my order, since I haven't heard anything else from them (except daily emails advertising other products) and it could not be found! When I spoke to Dixie (customer service!) I was told after a while that my order just arrived TODAY and will be shipped "in the next FEW DAYS" and I should expect my items in 5-7 business days from that time!!! So an order placed on the 2nd will arrive before Christmas! This is 5-7 days delivery for Plow and Hearth! When asked to talk to a supervisor I was told they were busy and basically denied one... This was a first for me, Plow and Hearth shame on you! You have NO customer service and do not care about your customer's satisfaction. I understand things happen and orders can be delayed but you let your customer know, a supervisor should always be available to talk to a customer, especially in customer service, and since you admitted your mistake you find ways to remediate it! Really, business 101! Again, shame on you, I was expecting more, since I was not dealing with a comp in the third world... Although it felt like it!"

I ordered a wreath from them on 10/29/14 for a Xmas gift. On the website it said it was "in stock". After nearly 4 weeks I still had not received it. I called and they said it was coming from China to Plow and Hearth and was due there Dec. 2 and then shipped to me. I then spoke with someone who said it was being shipped from Mexico!!!! On the website NOW the exact wreath is listed as "in stock". No where on the site does it say it comes from China OR Mexico!!!! After horrendous dealings with cust. services reps who knew nothing, I had to ask for a refund after talking with a supervisor. STAY AWAY!!!"
"I am sorry to write that I am terribly dissatisfied with my most recent purchase. I purchased an electric fireplace as a gift. Based upon what I had viewed in person at local stores as "standard" sizes for these fireplaces, I "thought" that I had a good idea of what to expect for as my $300 gift. Much to my (as well as the recipient) it is VERY small and hardly projects the heat. Very disappointing!
After purchasing from Plow & Hearth for years, I won't be purchasing from here again. Note to future purchasers... READING THE FINE PRINT IS NECESSARY.

Why I'll never buy from Plow & Hearth again:
Last year on 7/12/2013 I ordered two sets of corners for raised beds from the Plow & Hearth website. I paid for the corners at that time using Paypal. On August 6, 2013 Plow and Hearth cancelled and re-placed the order because the items were out of stock. They also cancelled the Paypal payment and reauthorized it. On September 18, 2013 Plow & Hearth shipped my corners, and the shipping email said: "The following item(s) have been billed to your credit card."
A month ago I got a nasty letter from a collection agency. I reviewed my Paypal activity and sure enough, Plow & Hearth refunded the payment I made when I ordered the corners but never billed Paypal when they shipped the items. Plow & Hearth never billed me, never notified me that they hadn't gotten paid, never attempted to contact me until they turned this over to a collection agency.
I pride myself on watching my credit and this kind of thing absolutely infuriates me. I will NEVER deal with a company that pulls this sort of stunt and I plan to make sure that I warn people to stay clear of Plow & Hearth."
"Ordered a gift a week before Mother's Day and the item NEVER shipped. Contacted the CS team before Mother's Day about the concern it wasn't shipped yet and they said it should ship. Once I contacted after Mother's Day their only response was "We can cancel the order if you want". What a TERRIBLE experience. Will never order from them again."

I have never seen worse customer service and even though my credit card was charged in January of 2014 for a rug, here it is April and I still have no rug and even though requested no refund either for a rug originally ordered in November of 2013. "I have ordered from this company several times. Once it took three (yes three) ADDITIONAL shipments of a replacement part before they got it right; but they were always very apologetic, helpful and promptly tried to remedy the problem.
They carry some interesting items that attract my attention, but as with most any company these days, so many products are just overpriced. I wait until they have a serious sale before I order.
One glaring deficiency is that they currently do not allow online customers to rate their products.
Most of what I have ordered has been of very good quality, but if it doesn't meet my expectations they will accept returns, no questions asked. In short, I have no qualms about ordering from them again.
