I ordered a couple of products that were fairly time-critical, both shown in-stock. The pricing was good. I used PayPal. I received an email confirming the purchase and I was given an order number. In the email, it stated that I would receive another email when the products shipped.
I never received that email. The following week, I went to the website and checked on the order. The timeline showed "processing..." for both items. Obviously why I didn't receive a shipping notice email.
Then, checking availability for each item, I found one item I ordered in-stock, and the other item with a 2-3 week wait. 2-3 week wait? It was shown as in-stock... So, at that point I felt the in-stock bait & switch feeling that I have, and I am sure you too have experienced at one time or another. I submitted a request to cancel the order and planned to order from another vendor.
I called to followup to ensure the order was cancelled. The woman who answered looked up he order and told me that it had already shipped out and it was scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I was absolutely surprised that it had actually shipped without a notification to me via email, and their website showed that they were still processing the order. Obviously, what she saw and what I could see were different.
I asked her to confirm that both items were in the order. She did and they were. So, I thanked the woman and explained that I had no shipping notice email and the incorrect order status. I also told her about the cancellation request and asked that she remove that request.
That evening, I received a plain vanilla email that the order cancellation request had been received but the order had already shipped, so it could not be cancelled.
The next day, the items arrived - well packed and without damage.
I responded to the plain vanilla email explaining the experience as I have here and focused on the disconnect between their website and the actual order status, including screenshots and noting the experience.
The bottom-line here is that this is indeed a company that delivers, but they need to correct the disconnects between the internal and external ordering payment system and the order status system, otherwise, it unnecessarily misleads the customer in a bad way and it creates a false sense of what the actual order status is.
Would I order from them again? Yes, of course, and I would hope to give 5 stars for that review, but if I did not see a change in order status within a few days when items are shown as in-stock, I would call them right away to confirm the order was processed and actually shipped."
