I bought on the 23rd, my card charged on 24th with an email confirmation of charge and I had no replys or tracking # given, nor any communication that my item was backordered. My emails were passed by until 4/1/05 when I informed him my intentions to reverse charges... and reminding of his own policy allowing to cancel when items were backordered. Then I recieved an email on 4-1-05 again stating my item was on backorder till may. I promptly recieved an email asking me if I wanted to cancel?
I did cancel because I didn't want my money tied up for 2 months with no product. His web page said "expected delievery date was 3-1-05" and I ordered on 3-23-05 and not informing the buyer that payment would be taken while the backordered item was waiting, caused me to prefer not to continue the transaction.
In the end he honored his word and reversed the charges promptly.
Giving him the benifit of a doubt.. he may be too busy elsewhere to service his site adequately to make customers feel good about thier purchase. Unfortunaltly this may have all been a misunderstanding.
Its especially frustrating when he does not allow telephone communication to quiet the uneasy feelings. And now a-days we expect communication that item is backordered OR a tracking # to confirm and follow the item. This guy may be a nice guy... but communication is bliss!"
"Strenuously advise against purchasing items from this company. Ordered a knife and a multitool from company in early January. Paid extra to have product sent USPS priority mail. Three days after I placed the order, I was called out of town unexpectedly. I arranged for someone to pick up my mail. When I got back to town a week and a half later, the package was not in my mail, instead they had sent the item via another carrier and it was sitting on my back porch. Please note the other carrier cost less than the shipping option I paid for. This action appears to be in conflict with the Fair Credit Billing Act. They billed my credit card the day before they sent the merchandise which is also a questionable business practice.
When I opened the package, the multitool was missing the accessory items (driver bits, pocket clip, etc) When I contacted the company asking for them to send me the replacement parts, I received a terse reply saying the items came from other locations and my only option was to send the item back. This would require me to pay for shipping and, according to the website, I would most likely also have to pay a restocking fee. When I sent them a second letter asking for a waiver on the restocking fee and reimbursement for having to ship a defective product, they never responded.
I did get a letter 10 days after the product was delivered telling me the product had been shipped and giving me a tracking number."
"I couldn't find any reviews of this company, either good or bad, so I thought I'd make one. I would rate them OK. Price on the item was the lowest I found on froogle.com.
I ordered a flashlight and immediately recieved a confirmation email, and my card was promptly charged. Then I heard nothing from them at all. I was expecting an email with confirmation that the product had shipped, but the email never came. I emailed them and asked for a tracking number, I even called their non-toll-free number, and had to leave a message because "all of their representatives were busy" at 9am on a weekday. I got no response from either the phone call or the e-mail, but to my surprise, the order did arrive on-time, and in good condition. I had to go to the UPS web site to determine how long it should have taken if it had shipped "within 24 hours" as it said on the site.
UPDATE: I did finally recieve the shipping confirmation, 1 week AFTER the product arrived, and 2 weeks AFTER the product Shipped.
