"I ordered a custom leather jacket and sent all dimensions and payment info. The full amount ($579) appeared on my credit card statement within a week. With the email receipt was the verbiage that I would receive one additional email. That never came. Five phone messages and six emails remain unresponded to despite the answering service assuring me they would personally pass the message and that I would hear back the same day (2 weeks ago). After 7 weeks with no reply I disputed the charge hoping this will get the jacket delivered but, more likely, just a refund. "

"I ordered a jacket, following the measuring directions exactly as stated on the website. The jacket arrived barely a week later which was nice, except didn't fit. I thought it would be no problem, as the warranty stated that they guaranteed the fit on custom jackets and they would exchange or resize them until it fit. So I've sent emails, left comments on the website, and called the number (it's just an answering service that takes a message) regarding my jacket and have gotten no response. It's been a few weeks now and all I have is an ill fitting jacket. It's certainly a high quality item that will last for years and years, but that means nothing if it's backed up by zero customer service when you have an issue. I hope they eventually get back to me so I can turn this around.

EDIT: They finally got back to me and exchanged the jacket, and fixed all the issues although it took almost 8 months. Overall they make a good product, they don't have the high tier leathers and detailing of higher end brands but for the price they're good. However, the communication leaves much to be desired."

"I had my dimensions taken at EAA Oshkosh in 2018. My A-2 flight jacket in calf skin arrived about 4 weeks later, pretty much as promised. The quality of the jacket is top notch, the workmanship is excellent - no complaints there.

However, my jacket feels a little too tight. One has to bear in mind that you're not ordering a fitted shirt but a leather jacket.
Very important: If you add an extra warm liner a lot of pockets on the inside, such as for your cell phone, glasses, pen holders and yes, the two pockets on the inside to possibly carry a concealed firearm the dimensions taken need to account for that. So my particular jacket feels a little tight. -- Next time I would probably add a couple of inches to the chest and tummy area circumference to make it more comfortable and allow for extra space. While it was indicated to me that I may not need an extra sweater with the warm liner, it would be great if you can still do so. Also: you want to have a little more underarm space available so the seem doesn't end up right under your arm pit - otherwise will feel too tight... Remember: in winter you may want to dress in layers. A little extra space in your jacket will keep you warmer - and at Oshkosh when dimensions are taken in the middle of summer you may only wear a shirt. "

"I had a leather "flight" jacket (brand name) for many years, which finally ripped (and you could see that it was really a leather "laminate"). I am very particular about what I want and searched every department store and leather store, but couldn't find it. (I wanted all leather. No elastic on sleeves or bottom, lining and a flap over the zipper). Then I remembered seeing Pop's at Oshkosh Airventure. I found their website online, chose my style, color and options and entered all the measurements. I initially chose the lamb's wool zip out lining, but when I called the shop, the american rep (Jackets are made in the shop on a US Airbase in Turkey!) suggested I get the thinsulite lining and "threw it in" at no charge (so I have both).
The Jacket arrived on the 8th day after I ordered it online. It is perfect! Leather is beautiful and the workmanship is top notch. Perfect fit. All for about the same price as what I saw in the stores."

"Ordered a flight jacket and followed all the instructions. Jacket arrived and didn't fit. Called a couple dozen times and all calls rolled to an answering service. Never received a return call. Emailed more than a couple dozen times. Received two return emails, one asking for pictures and a second email stating that a replacement jacket was on it's way. Never received the replacement jacket. Looked up the tracking information, shipping label was created but package never shipped. Had to dispute the charge with the credit card company.

UPDATE: Finally received a new jacket that fits. Said there computer system crashed for a few weeks. The end result is I got what I paid for."

"I purchased an antique brown leather pilots jacket from Pop's Leather. I completed a questionnaire, provided my measurements. I selected calfskin leather. There were a variety of styles to choose from. I picked one based on the American Airlines pilot jacket. They called me to make sure I wanted brown instead of black, since black is the color American Airlines requires. They called me again a week later to see if the jacket had arrived. The jacket arrived, it was beautiful, it fit me perfectly. It's very comfortable. It's not bloated like other A2 style jackets. The side pockets are big enough for your hands. There are several inside pockets, some zippered. The lining is great. Given the style and leather chosen it was less expensive than other manufacturers. A great buy. I recommend them without reservation. Their office is in Turkey, so you can't call them and talk to them, but they respond to emails and they called me to make sure I was satisfied with my jacket. "One day after placing the order I found they could not comply with custom specfications I had requested. They were not available by phone, email nor web-site. YET they were able to charge my Credit Card the full amount. It took SEVERAL weeks with MUCH Credit Card Company intervention to get a credit to my account.

All this after both and email and a return phone call from them stating they were going to credit my account... I would not trust my orders to such a company
