"I've hit up a number of poster shops in the past, but Poster Art House takes the cake as a dealer of quality "vintage" pieces.

Instead of trying to encompass all categories, branching out into tees, and providing various other methods of framing (à la PosterGods), they continue to stock a cache of gorgeous, older works. You know, the ones that had sold out first prints, and others that started out as hidden gems. How they're able to obtain so many reprints and keep the prices low is unknown, but they're quite helpful for anyone that's ever been "in search of that one piece of elusive wall art". (If what you want is nowhere else--for cheap, it could very well be in their modest collection.)

The company is aptly named (just browse their inventory); all they need now is to partner up with a swank online café, or something of the like. Whatever will best sell their angle, and make them a tad more expansive without diluting their core.

But on more relevant business practices, Poster Art House makes great use of both eBay and Amazon in their sales. Amazon's services are now tied in with their site--which is convenient in some ways, but unless there's an amazing deal, I'd recommend using eBay over the Amazon-site method. As a top-rated seller (sporting 100% feedback!), they give you the choice of bidding like a regular auction--to get the lowest possible price with free shipping, or selecting "Buy It Now" and thus, getting the price that you'd probably pay via their site. There are few dealers out there that would care to do that much *without* something else happening on the sly.

Regarding customer service, in the few years that I've known and made use of Poster Art House, my orders have always been handled by someone named Becky. (She sends prompt and polite order/shipping email confirmations.) It's rare when you see small consistencies like this pop-up in random places, so read into that what you will.

Their shipping and handling is spectacular--as awesome as the contents being shipped--especially when it's free, with tracking. Packages are sent either the next day or within a few days, and the material used is all-around better than PosterGods. How so? Poster Art House's tube containers are thicker, sturdier; you'd need to use excessive amounts of pressure with a sharp utility knife to puncture the material, or a multitude of too-hard whacks just to *kinda* dent it. None of my purchases have ever been damaged while in delivery, even if the exterior packaging looked bruised or abused beyond hell.

That said, the tubes that I've hung onto have come in handy for a variety of utilitarian purposes. The largest once served as an ad hoc, robust walking stick--which was when I discovered a quotidian weakness in an atypical situation: loss of structural integrity with extended exposure to extremely damp and warm terrains. (The material is unfazed by drizzle in normal amounts, and moisture is only a legitimate danger if you leave the tube to wither away in a sauna. One would have to have s*** luck to get a destroyed item from them, but unfortunate human errors do happen on occasion.) Anywhoo, that one instance further proved that Poster Art House is serious about getting customers their prints intact.
