"If you request a price adjustment even when the order is not being shipped out yet. The customer service will not do anything and won’t be able to help out a customer. A poor customer service is usually a start of an end for a company. Very disappointed with the service that I received from the company of this caliber. "I ordered a doodles backpack for my daughter. Within three weeks my 64.00 purchase was falling apart. I contacted PB even though it was past the 30 day window. I always buy the kids backpacks at the end of July but we don’t use them until September. I sent pictures after contacting PB who said since it was a quality issue they would look into it. They sent me a pre-paid label and my daughter had her new bag in TWO days!! I sent the defective one back and I’m truly grateful they seen what my frustrations were with this bag and everything breaking after such a short period. Thank you Pottery Barn for making this right. We’ve bought your backpacks ever since my girls started pre-k and they are in 4th and 5th grade. We always look forward to the vast selections and astonishing quality. Mistakes/errors happen, but thank you so much for making it right!! "
"We purchased furniture for our new home in April 2019. We were told delivery was going to be around June 16th. We are almost in the middle of September and I keep getting this emails where they apologize for the delay and have NO idea when my furniture is going to be delivered. My beautiful house is empty. My friends and family have to sit on plastic chairs, we don’t have sofas, coffee tables, rugs. We just canceled the order and customer service threatened that they will still going to charge us. This company is a so awful and a mess "
"bought a set of monsterra lead wall hooks from pottery barn. First off, they arrived in fine condition but really appear a lot more cheaply made than the price ($59). After purchasing but before arriving to my house, the price dropped to $39. I called customer service to see if they could help me price match themselves. No ma'am, there's no way to price match. Can't help with that. Instead she suggests that I can try to return these and then repurchase. Fine, so I start the process of returning and repurchasing with the service representative. Turns out that JUST TO RETURN, I must pay something like $12. That is ridiculous. In the era of Amazon, Target and other no fee/easy return companies, I am appalled that pottery Barn makes so little attempt to retain customers. I will happily be taking my business elsewhere in the future. 2 stars only because the representative was nice, if not helpful."
"Ordered bean bag that was never delivered. Customer service acknowledges it was lost but would not rush ship item. They also wait to find item before they will refund. Speaking to supervisor Carolina is waste of time. Terrible customer service however parent company Williams-sonoma post on web site customer is always first. Yea right- just for advertisement."
"I ordered two expensive chairs on 12/13/18 and did not receive them until 4/19/19. The delivery was supposed to be on 4/20 and they showed up unannounced a day before the scheduled delivery. They arrived with pock marks, rub marks, little cracks and scratches and one looks like it was dropped on a corner. The delivery people told me not to tell that they had come the day before they were supposed to. The chairs also did not arrive in a box. I called the Wichita store where I ordered them, sent pictures etc. I've made a few calls. No one calls me back. I was on hold with customer service for an 1 hours and 9 minutes before I finally left a message. Today my husband gets an e-mail that they need us to send to pictures of each area and a picture of the whole chair and that they prefer jpg. I had already sent a slew of photos. I doubt if they'll remake the chairs. Wish I had the guts to picket in front of their store"
"If you plan to return a gift, beware! Pottery Barn will *EITHER* refund the gift giver (which isn't always ideal) *OR* they will issue you a merchandise credit ... but you will have to wait 6 weeks to receive it in the mail. And maybe you won't receive it, or maybe you'll have to follow-up with them because you didn't receive it even after six weeks (this has happened more than once with a return!).
When returning a gift, you should automatically be able to exchange it RIGHT THEN AND THERE, *OR* you should be able to receive store merchandise credit right then and there.

"Do not order furniture from Pottery Barn!!! We ordered a rug, a sectional couch and a recliner-$4,000 +/-. Four months later they tell us both recliner and rug are no longer available. Why not tell us at order??
So we order another recliner. Believe it or not, 3 months lager they tell me AGAIN that vendor no longer makes the recliner. To make matters even worse, we kept getting email notifications that the products were ready for delivery, when they were never going to come.
Still worse, the products are still published on the PB website as being available. Someone will order it (like us) only to find out in 4 months that it isn’t coming.
We spoke to PB reps, who did nothing for us. Now waiting 6 months, the customer service rep offered us a 30% discount as a courtesy along with free shipping on a new and again different recliner (stupid me for hoping they would get it right) only to have her re-neg on the offer and only now offer me 10% off and no free shipping. I can go online and get 25% today as a promotion and yet she can only give me 10%? What a sham!!!
