Thank you for the review. I know we also chatted via the phone. Quoting design on the website can be confusing. All of our customers have a different skill set so some may have some useable files and think it may only take a few minutes and some aren't so sure and then we end up needing to do a lot more work. Because of this we like our designer to look at the files that way we can provide a accurate design quote. I know it's an extra step, but we feel like it's a more effective way to help customers who need design.
As for the shipping cost concerns, our site is linked with UPS. So all our shipping numbers come from them. They have made mistakes in the past or have had system issues, so I checked into your cost and it is correct. UPS does do all dimensional weight now, so that does effect costs. This stand was shipping from UT to MO which is 5 days when you choose ground shipping. The distance does also effect cost. Because we don't want you to be surprised with shipping cost we've integrated our site with UPS. Having said that and stated previously UPS can make mistakes, so please feel free to reach out to us if something looks high. We are always more than willing to take a closer look at it for you. ”

UPS does dimensional weight so even though the pole doesn't weigh much the dimensional weight goes up because of the size. Our site is linked with UPS so you can always check shipping before you buy and using your own UPS account is also welcome. I'm glad we had the part you needed we know a lot of manufactures won't sell parts because they cost too much to bring in.
