"They will not respond to my emails in which I ask for the status of my order. They do not have a toll free telephone #. If they are out of stock on the product (Golden ORB TK7FR01 cpu heat sink and fan), they could at least have the common courtesy inform me so I can order it from another company.

Update: after sending emails to all email addresses the had listed on their website, I got a reply from the RMA department. They said they no longer sold the item I ordered over the Internet and that my credit card wouldn't be charged. They claim they can be contacted by telephone, but it is a toll #. Three of my emails to them were returned because no such email address existed. The person in the RMA department told me they had been having trouble with their email.

"This company can be summed up in one word: AWFUL. Or make that three words. AWFUL, AWFUL, AND AWFUL again. Seriously, they are that bad. What kind of integrity can you expect out of people who give fake ratings to boost their own score? Really. I recently placed an order with them. Well, I shouldn't say that recently. It was over 3 weeks ago. It was an important order that I needed delivered in a timely manner. I STILL DONT HAVE IT, and they do not respond to e-mails. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY from this terrible company with horrid [non-existant] customer service! You have been warned!"

"I can not remember when I first started buying from PU`, but I can tell you this, I have injoyed it, Sometimes I wonder what they think from me (being a logger most of my life) somtimes the phone goes quiet on their end. Sure their are screw ups, but their are few and far between. I do know this, I will continue too buy from them. I see some of you people complaning about thier sales staff, My question too you would be! What were you like on your first JOB?
It would be nice if they all had PHD`s in sales & computers. I wonder if we would even be talking about PU, who could afford them?

As you guessed from my logon name, I really “took one for the team” when I decided to buy from this company…Had I known I would have had to bend over this much, I would have stretched out first !

At first I thought this company was the greatest thing since sliced bread, only later to find out that the other negative postings are a reality. It may be the case that in the past this company had a great thing going, but it you examine the more recent postings you will find that buying from them should be avoided like the plague. I would provide the details of my experience but to be totally honest, I think I am going to have to keep from getting on their bad side as I fear I may somehow need them in the future to fix something.

I also suspect that the only recent positive ratings for this vendor are from its employees themselves. After all, how hard is it really to post anything on the web, did you give out your primary e-mail address when signing up ? I sure as heck did not. Case in point.

In closing, this is the only rating I have even taken the time to make and I would like to send my kindest regards to the fine folks at Power UP.

"I bought a stick of RAM in July 2001. It was defective and corrupted my hard drive. I sat on the thing for almost a year before returned it for exchange,
because I have a very low income and literally feared their draconian return policy. What I got back was a memory module, which they said was the same module, but clearly isn't... it
is midly put _scarred_. The memory
chips are abraded, some down to shiny metal, and the label stating the specs is also faded, as though rubbed a hundred times by a thumb. The original module reported errors at all speeds, while the new one can at least run at 100MHz. It is "rated" at
133, and CL2 no less! They charged me an additional $15 for
the privilage of getting back a
reworked piece of junk... my original fear come true. I thought at first that they just grabbed an old test module they had floating around the tech room, but reading comments by this company, I now believe they refurbish stuff. And then lie, suck money out of their customers.
I recommend in the strongest manner that no one buy from this company, and WILL be reporting them to the better business bureau.

"After having problems with my video card (I have been a technology coord for 6 yrs.)I returned it for an exchange. Instead of an exchange I suddenly found my credit card charged with an additional $42.00. The company did not receive implied, written, or verbal authorization to use my credit card. You should be extremely wary about buying from this company."

"I have been dealing with Power-Up for about three years now.
I build server units and purchase my equipment through them.
Here is what I have experienced:
1) They always have or can get what I need.
2) I have never purchased equipment that has been damaged.
3) Never had a problem with the sales people.
4) I have found their pricing to be the most competitive in Houston
5) I have used other companies, but always going back to Power-Up

"I ordered the ThermalTake Volcano 7+ and for my Athlon 1700+ and the Heatsink didn't have the clip for the attaching the heatsink to the motherboard! So I called their *long distance* number which was promptly answered. But the customer service people don't even know the product they are selling. I could hardly understand what he was saying. He told me to send an e-mail their way with my contact info. He couldn't have done it on the phone? So ultimately I just called Thermaltake and told them my dilemma and they sent me just the Athlon clip. Which resulted in me not having to RMA the thing back with my own money and double the time. Furthurmore the warehouse guy told me that it might have been already out of the box! I will never order from this company again."

"*****BEWARE*****

This is the worst company I have ever did business with. They lie to you and give you excuses about their mistakes and never ever make the customer happy. They don't live upto their warranty or promises or their invoice letter. IF the customer service says something in favor of you don't believe it because what happened to me was when I contacted the "supervisor", he said they will not do what customer service told me. Customer service had told me that they will special order a part for me for replacement of a defective part but the supervisor rejected that promise....how unbusiness-like. IF your retail part becomes defective, like mine did, then they will send you a refurbished part not a retail replacement. And what happened to me was what they sent was worse than what I sent them to be replaced. I am fed up with them and very angry that they don't make the customer happy and they LIE LIE LIE. I contacted the Better Business Bureau now and I will tell everybody I can and post messages everywhere against this miserable and poor quality company.
