"I, like several other people, placed an order on Saturday, November 12th, 2011. Prairie Arms LLC charged my debit card on Tuesday, November15th, 2011. I received an e-mail on November 29th, 2011 saying my order was being processed and would be shipping out of the Littleton store. WEll, it is Janurary 11th, 2012 and I have not received my products. I have sent e-mails with no response from them, tried calling but just get a busy signal and now their website has been taken off the internet. I read they were in the middle of a transition period that the owners of Prairie Arms sold out and retired but that is all the info that I could find out. I hope whoever bought their business treats their customers better than the previous owners of Prairie Arms LLC did. This is the firt time I have ever been burned on an internet order and I have ordered hundreds of items but the point I want to make is do your homework before you order from anyone. Call and speak with a person and read their reviews before ordering. This is why America is in the shape it is in, Americans screwing other Americans out of whatever they can get out of them. "Ordered and received the happy email that my purchase would be on its way in 7-10 days.... over a month and no product. they took my money the same day as my order and have been sitting on it since. no response to emails or phone calls.. The BBB has 11 complaints on these jokers just this year. if you get cheated by these clowns report them to BBB. i've started proceedings with my bank to gte a full refund. well see if that happens or not. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!"

"Do not buy from this company!
Ordered ammo on Nov 6 that they allegedly had in stock. 6 weeks later no ammo, no e-mails answered, the phone doesn't get answered and faxes are ignored. I've asked my credit card company to reverse the charges.
Worst internet company I've ever used!

"i'm feeling burned these guys took 2 weeks to process my order and now it has been the 10 business days and still nothing they don't respond to e-mails i sent 3 different tried to call phone for prairie not working and the other company mailbox full, next step BBB"

"I too had problems on an item ordered on their site and never did order from them again. I read that they are now closing and retiring. Good for them! However, the new company they state is helping them is actually them!!

The site prairiearms.com and crystalcreekfirearmsllc.com are routed to the same IP ADDRESS!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! THEY ARE NOT RETIRING!

"I recently ordered some gun parts from Prairie Arms. All the items were listed in stock. As soon as I placed the order I got an email saying they were processing the order and I would get a email giving me a tracking number. It has been 4weeks and I have not received the tracking number yet. I have called the company and the phone number has been disconnected. I have emailed numerous times and have received no response. The money was taken out of my account immediately upon order. They have ignored request to cancel order and I have not received any contact from the company. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. "

"I placed an order for a Lee Reloading press. After I placed my order I get an email receipt confirming my order was placed. A few days later I got a brief e-mail that looks liked a receipt that said a refund has been issued. After four days I sent an e-mail to them asking if my item was back ordered or cancelled. They wrote back saying "our records show it was cancelled."

It is what it is. Five days after placing my order my refund appears in my back account. No restocking fee games. I don't think they are out to scam anyone. They just don't have good customer service and website inventory is not reliable. I won't be placing any more orders with them.

"I Placed an order with Prairie Arms for muzzleloader parts at the end of August and was charged immediately. Web store indicated all items were "in stock" with listed quantities. Turns out this is not their inventory, but their suppliers'.

After numerous emails/calls to find out the status of my order that had been charged to my card the day after I submitted, I finally received a partial shipment a month later - after muzzleloader season had started. Their location is only two days away via UPS, yet it took a month to deliver "in stock" product. I still have yet to receive, or have a refund processed, for the shorted product.

To top it off they state you will be charged a 15% restocking fee if you want to cancel any part of your order - even it it's due to their negligence.

If this is what customer service is, then I want nothing to do with it and neither should anyone else. Steer clear of Prairie Arms unless this is how you want to be treated. They put the "cuss" in customer (dis)service.

"I ordered a scope which the website indicated was in stock. My charge account was immediately charged for the scope. After 10 days and no shipping confirmation, or any communication whatsoever, I cancelled the order. The return email said they were sorry to lose my business, but no mention of any restocking charge. 2 weeks later the credit had still not been issued to my account, so I emailed them again. My account was then credited with the purchase amount less a 15% restocking charge. Despite phone calls and emails, they refused to refund the full amount, even though they did meet their own deadline in shipping the order.

They, obviously, do not stock the items shown as in stock on the website. As far as I'm concerned, they scammed me out of over $100. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

"Ordered two firearms from this company.. Both arrived at my local FFL holder in under two weeks. Brand new, still in packaging. Got a great deal. Service was excellent. Patience pays off... They clearly state processing/shipping take 7-10 BUSINESS days. Would do business again. "

"A websearch showed them to be the cheapest Nikon scope dealer of the list, with 2 in stock. So I ordered the scope at 544.00 and the money was immediately removed from my bank account. Then I got an email stating the order was received, and I would be notified when the order was processed. Days went by with no further contact from them, so I wrote them an email asking for a refund. They refunded 85% and kept 15% for "restocking fee" in spite of the fact they never shipped the scope or indicated it would EVER be sent. This appears to be a scam where they don't send the merchandise, and when you back out they keep some of your money. Of course they can be the lowest priced on the web, if they never intend to send your merchandise..
This is only beginning with these guys, BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE go at your own risk. Wonder why they don't show any merchandise on their page?? maybe BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ANY???

"5 star! Almost flawless transaction, and man - what a price! They beat every other retailer on my item by about 10% and that's including the shipping fee. I really like the fact they don't penalize you for using credit cards (there's no two tier pricing structure for cash equivalents and credit cards).

If I were to constructively critique my order I would say the following things:

1) Include free shipping in the as stated price.
2) My order took 2 days to process - not sure why.
3) Excellent customer service pre-purchase, had a email left unanswered post-purchase... a little fishy but I'll give them benefit of the doubt this time.
4) Include availability data on the listed tables of products. It's annoying having to click through multiple pages to figure out you don't have a single piece of a model line in stock because of the design of the website.

Other than that, when something is in stock - I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Prairie Arms again.

"I have made two purchases at Prarie Arms. First was an Armalite AR30. After checking with MANY online merchants, they were the only ones actually selling the rifle for their online advertised price. They shipped promptly. Problem was the case came damaged (el cheapo case btw), not really their fault. Next I went shopping for a Burris eliminator scope. Once again I found many false price and stock claims. Guess who actually had it and at a fair, accurately advertised price? Yep, made my second purchase. I decided to call them and see if they could cut me a deal on another case since the one from Armalite was damaged. They Gave me a free case (also cheap one)! These guys have been great to deal with. Always answer the phone and do what they say."

"I recently purchased a handgun from Prairie Arms over the internet. I had a question about the gun I was interested in and they responded to my e-mail within an hour (even though I sent the e-mail relatively late one Saturday night). I bought the gun online the next day and, after arranging the FFL transfer, had the gun in my hands about a week later. The gun was well-packaged and exactly as described. I was very happy with the entire experience and will definitely use them again."
