"Precision engines we’re contracted to refurbish my engine. They place the work with a mechanic, take a £1000 fee and thereafter take no responsibility whatsoever. I am 8 weeks into this, still have issues with the engine and am having to deal with the mechanic direct. There is no advantage whatsoever in using PE, they do not support you or take any responsibility. My advice is to steer clear of them."
"Two things have happened since I posted this review.
1) Thunderbolt has posted two more fake reviews that give them 5 stars.
2) They called me after months of silence and had "suddenly" out of the blue found a used engine that they said they could put in for a mere 7000. That is just under twice their original estimate. When I told them no thanks they told me I was a dumb ****.
One other thing you should look at is the following link. This is how I wound up in this situation in the first place.

"This business presented a vehicle repair estimate contract that had the totals left blank. When I called and requested the estimate totals be written prior to me finalizing the contract the manager refused to accept the work. Although I had executed part of the contract prior to refusing the finalize the contract they demanded that I return the contract to them. I refused to return the contract. They filed a complaint with the police for theft on me for keeping the paperwork. I informed the police that the tow truck driver lied to enhance the circumstances against me and that my home camera system had recorded the entire encounter. The police directed the tow truck driver to leave the area and that I was going to discard the contract. I will instead keep the contract for my own protection and advise any consumer that needs their vehicle serviced to choose a different provider other than Thunderbolt/ICT Engines. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THUNDERBOLT TRANSMISSIONS OR ICT ENGINES!!!!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!!"
"I purchased an engine from PrecisionEngine.com, I beilieve they are also known as Thunderbolt Engines, RebuiltCrateEngines.com, and ICT Engines of Houston, Texas. The engine I received was missing key items that were outlined on the spec sheet and sales sheet. Because of this, the engine failed at less than 400 miles. They did replace parts, but took no responsiblity for the discrepencies on the sales sheet until I hired an attorney. Even after settling with them, I discovered that they had used stock parts on a high performance engine. The engine almost failed a second time less than 2000 miles later. Their customer service is poor, and they either cut corners or have no quality control. Either way, I wouldn't recommend you purchase any engine from this company."
"Motor blew 1st time on the highway, now he is sending me another shortblock.I am going to keep my fingers crossed. Seems like a nice enough guy. Bit I just has to have a race motor. He also said he is now out of business and has closed as of a week ago. He has returned all of my emails lately fast. "
"This is the poorest dealings I ever had wit a company. I paid 5000.000 for a 383 stroker lt1 longblock that was supposed to make at least 370HP to the rear wheels instead it made 266HP. That was less than the original engine i had. Ive spent thousands of dollars trying to figureout what the problem is because Ken wouldnt do anything. Ken admits there is a problem but he refuses to do anything about it. Ive recieved no invoice or a reciept of my purchase. Aarranty was also part of the deal which i have not recieved. I have been screwed over bigtime. He built and designed the engine so if anyone should know what the problem is it should be him. Well he is completely clueless. I cant believe he can run a business this way. There are numerous complaints on the company at the BBB in houston. Ive been beggibg him for months to help me but he doesnt return calls never calls me, He just took my oney and ran with it. Well im going to bring a heavy lawsuit against him and the company because its just not right to treat people this way. So anyone who is thinking about doing business with this company I would look into their history. It would have saved me alot of time and grief if i would have done the same. "
"I bought a long block engine (3.8L-231CID) from this store. When it arrived I found several things wrong with the engine. I contacted the president on the company, Ken Slataper, and told him of the problems I had found with the engine. He stepped up to the plate and made everything right. He immediately sent me all the replacement parts and paid to have some of the parts installed by another machine shop close to my house (as he is in Texas). All in all he has kept his word on making everything right. I would do business with this company again and would highly recomend this company to everyone in need of it's type of services. Ken Slataper has made this company a true American company you can count on. Thanks again Ken......Jim"
