"Screw-up after screw-up characterized my most recent attempt to purchase from premium memory.com. I say most recent because I had made a purchase from them before, and all had went fine.
Because I first wanted to assess the quality of their RAM memory cards, I made an order of one memory slot card. It worked fine and so I then went and ordered another. Being that I was shipping it to a different address I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, as it was still with the same credit card and same user account. Boy was I mistaken.
I got the order confirmation email, then the 'there's a problem with your order and it's been cancelled' email. I called and was told to"make the order again", which I did. Same thing - confirmation then cancellation emails. I called and said "forget it, I'll get it elsewhere". That's when I saw both orders charged to my credit card.
A call to them was met by the reply 'but your order's been cancelled so your card hasn't been charged'. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, in that I was looking at my card online at the same time. I had to demand to speak to accounting and was promised a quick resolution. Days went by and the charge wasn't dropped from my card so now started the charge disputes, emails, etc with my bank.
Eventually it all got worked out but only after the through-the-butt way. How many other online memory sellers are there? Enough for me to go elsewhere next time."
