"I bought a proline hood after doing some research. I had it installed at the cost of $300 and found after that the left side fan was wobbly. I called service was sent a new Part. It arrived promptly, however it was the wrong part. It cost me $200 to have it installed. Called customer service again and waited 2 1/2 weeks for the new part. Had to pay another hundred dollars. The entire experience was very frustrating. I would never use this company or recommend them"
"I had a great experience with Proline Range Hoods. Their customer service was outstanding, super helpful with my request.
The hood itself is very well-made and has performed just as I had hoped. Great suction and not too loud at all, with a fantastic design for my kitchen. Helps me really enjoy my new kitchen.
From start to finish, Proline made it an easy process. Highly recommended!"
"I ordered a range hood, but they refused to ship it unless I provided personal information that I was not comfortable providing. First they told me the hood was backordered, and I should call to see when it would be shipped. When I called they said it wasn't backordered, I just needed to send them copies or photos of personal information (to verify my address). My address for the credit card that I used to pay for the hood was the same as the shipping address. Demanding additional information freaked me out, and I cancelled the order. I haven't received a refund yet. I've ordered a lot of items on line and paid with a credit card. I've never been asked to provide photos or copies of personal information."
"I am a home designer and builder. I research and purchase tons of things for my projects. Outdoor range hoods is a small market. I chose Proline because I needed a very large hood over the very large cooking area at an outdoor cooking area project. The thing wasn't cheap, at nearly $5000 shipped. It arrived adequately fast. We found several flaws in their installation instructions and even their website shows one of their chimney hoods upside down! I called CS and they were basically dismissive and rude and said figure it out yourself. Part of the order contained a roof hood which I didn't end up needing. I requested a return and after sending them pictures of it, they agreed to take it back minus some restocking fee. Two months later I emailed them asking where is my refund. No reply. Then I called CS. The girl was not nice at all. She said something about moving and they'd have to dig into records of returns. I gave her the tracking number and she put me on hold and then said she'll issue the refund. I started telling her that me having to call up and track down my return was very disappointing and I was about to tell her in general how I felt and she hung up. Gonna find her manager. I might have to update this when the product is installed."
"I strongly urge that you do not buy Proline. I recently purchased a Proline insert for my custom hood. I had the hood built around the specs for the Proline insert. I researched liners and was intrigued by videos put out by Proline. I actually called the company to get more information on a liner. After speaking with a Proline rep they convinced me that this would be a good liner. I was concerned about the low price, but the rep assured me that was a promotional price, and they wanted to get reviews on the product.
My review: TERRIBLE, MISTAKE, CHEATED. Model: PLFL CL 3416D.
The description of this liner is that it is quiet. FALSE. Stand next to a jet engine during takeoff...that is how loud it is. If you intend to have a conversation in the same room, be prepared to yell at each other and even then you might not be heard. This liner is unusable if you intend to be in the same room. It is so loud you can hear it outside the house. The boast "runs at a maximum noise level of 4-5 sones, or the volume of a quiet conversation, meaning that it is extremely quiet" right on their website - it's an absolute lie.
When I contacted Proline and asked for help with a solution to the problem their attitude was "too bad, you bought it, it's your problem".
I remodeled my kitchen and bought a custom hood. The hood was built around the dimensions for this liner. Now i am stuck with it. IT ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. Buy a Venta Hood or Z-Line...don't buy a Proline. Junk and no support. Beyond disappointing.
My plan now is to gut this piece of junk, purchase a remote blower and figure out how to install it into the attic since I am stuck with this junk.
Seriously, do not buy this liner and don't do business with Proline...they make false claims on their website, they do not stand by their products and their customer support is no help at all.
UPDATE: Proline has now changed their website on the sones rating. They duped me, maybe I have saved some other unfortunate soul from falling for their false advertising."
"BUYER BEWARE!
Ever felt snickered? I have—by Proline. When shopping for a new exhaust hood I researched extensively multiple companies. After watching multiple Proline videos and reading dozens of reviews I was impressed with what I determined were innovations that were designed into the Proline hoods that were not incorporated in hoods by other manufacturers. Not only were Proline hoods effective, but they had features built in that would keep them effective and be easy to maintain for years.
Two features sold me on Proline: (1) the ability to remove and clean the squirrel cage blower and (2) removable grease collection trays adjacent to the baffles. It’s easy to design an exhaust hood, but to incorporate features that make cleaning all the grease that will inevitably collect with time and use would be a real advantage.
Long story short, the Proline hood that I ordered (Model PLFI 755.36) has neither of these. As much as all of their videos touted the importance of keeping the blower wheel clean to maintain efficiency, my model does not have this capability. The blower wheel cannot be removed! Having grease collection trays that can be removed and washed in the sink or dishwasher would be a terrific innovation which would ease the tedious, difficult task of removing accumulated grease. But this too is not available on my model!
The explanation by Proline is that the videos are model specific. What you see in one model does not mean that the features are available on all models. (Strange, since the Proline videos such as installation are generalized—to be referred to for all hoods).
I’ve learned this lesson the hard way. BUYER BEWARE. Do not assume that what is promoted in one video applies to all models of their hoods. There are NO signature features of all Proline Hoods. You really cannot know what you’re getting until you take physical delivery or after the hood is installed. And the most irritating omission is the absence of any detailed spec sheets on any model hood that would allow comparisons with other models. This is a real limitation. Are they lazy? Without detailed specs one can only assume what features each model has. Every other manufacturer always includes detailed specifications of each model they make. Not Proline.
Hope this cautionary tale will benefit other shoppers of exhaust hoods!

"Junk! My 3 yr old hood cannot get replacement lights on back order for 7 months. Useless junk!"
"Purchased a hood directly from the company out of Salt Lake City and turned out to be one of the worst customer service experiences ever. Received the hood in approximately six weeks. Set up an appointment to have it installed by someone I've known that's done hoods before so I figured it would be very straight forward. Not in the least. Got to the point of putting the stainless chimney in and it turned out to be over nine inches too short.
Contacted the company directly and the sales lady gave me the explanation that that's impossible that they sent the correct piece. I tried to explain according to the directions I should have close to six to eight inches of overlapping with the two pieces. She emphatically told me they sent right size, end of story. Wouldn't go any further to remedy the issue. So got off the phone thinking I might end up going to a sheet metal shop to get the right to correct this.
Gave it a couple of days phoning around and after pricing what it would cost I thought I'd try talking to someone else to see if I'd get anywhere.
Got a hold a different sales rep. this time and had much better results. Told him everything that had happened and moving forward I sent pictures and dimensions and had it resolved. It took and extra four weeks then getting my handyman back.
Would I buy another Pro Line Hood?
Definitely Not. There's better choices out there for certain. This woman also has no business doing this either. Had a terrible attitude acting like I caused this issue.
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL..."
"I have this range hood for quite some time now. It's been working great. It's not too loud on low setting and it works great even on low setting. The filters are easy to remove, and I put them in the dishwasher to clean. Super simple! Also I love the LED display with touch sensor buttons.

"I love my Proline hood ! I Purchased the Proline 30" hood in 2017 and it works great, the light just went out this year 2021.
I was able to call in to get new lights and driver (which I didnt know I needed) ordered."
"Just what I was looking for my outdoor kitchen."
"GOOD JOB GETTING ME MY PARTS."
"It's a great hood. The LED lights are great. It has two fans in it and it is very powerful. After having it for 5 years I needed a part for it. I sent them an email and they responded the same day. Jenn was able to locate my order quickly and got my part shipped out. Good quality part and fantastic service."
"I have had my range hood for about 10 years and I have been very pleased! Recently, it developed an issue - when the power button is touched, the unit powers on and the blower cycles on and off every 2-3 seconds. None of the fan speed controls are responsive. I emailed support and received a quick reply from Brenden offering trouble shooting tips and repair parts if needed. Great service for a product WAY out of warranty! Thank you!"
"I ordered a hood from their website and I needed a wall unit and got an island unit. Now they won't take it back. Anybody interesting in buying this one. It's still in the original box. Paid 1300 but will take 1000 to get it out of my living room."
