"I looked all over the web for this particular lamp for an old DJ fixture that I had. I couldn't find it anywhere except for the www.protheatrical.com website. They had them in stock and shipped them to me the next day. I recieved UPS tracking number right away and everything went great. I even called them to ensure I ordered the right bulb and their friendly sales person confirmed that I had and sure enough it works great. I would definitely recommend again for those specialty type lamps. SH"
"Great service! Had received the wrong product but quickly was corrected and received my correct light bulb shortly after!"
""ProTheatrical" AKA "New Century Lighting" out of New Mexico, charged my credit card and I didn't receive in a reasonable time. After I emailed them to find out what happened to the order, a "salesman" from the company emailed saying order would be shipped the next day. The order never arrived.
I called and emailed many times without any contact back from the company. For several days all I got were voice mails.
Today, on a lark, I called the company and someone answered "New Century Lighting",(I guess they are answering the phone now) I asked them to refund my credit card and he said to refuse the shipment by UPS and that it was sent out 7 days ago. I told him that it was supposed to be sent 2nd day air which is what I paid for, I did not get a "your order was shipped message", and that I didn't beleive him and just to refund my card.
As far as an invoice number, none was ever issued. (I had to call them again to get the invoice number to post this) I do have records from my credit card company that the order was placed. These people are just charlatans. They take orders, charge credit cards and have no intention of shipping merchandise. I have already contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge as I have a feeling these people won't even have the decency to refund my card. What gets me is that after all the emails and phone messages I leave them, they don't contact you back even they are there. I figured someone just set up a website to obtain orders and have phones going to fake voice mails. From my conversation with this person today my feeling is that they don't intend to fill orders, just collect money.
This company operates by sending email adverts to previous customers of other lighting companies acting as if you had ordered from them before. I thought I had done business with them before but after looking through my records I have never had any contact with them before this fiasco. I believe they obtain email addresses of customers from ligitimate customers some way.
Stay away."
