"This company, if you can call it that, is full of lies and deceit. They claim to only use OEM bulbs and that cannot be further from the truth. I bought a bulb for my parents TV KDS60A2020 which uses a Philips bulb as the OEM bulb. Within a month worth of use in the TV the bulb reflective surface de-laminated from within the bulb and started to shut down the TV due to overheating. I confirmed that the bulb was defective when I replaced it with a bulb from my own TV that was a Philips OEM bulb (was in the TV when I bought it so there is no question that it was OEM and a Philips bulb).
I received an email stating that the TV could use one of four bulbs and that Sony didn't use Philips bulbs exclusively for the TV. A quick confirmation from Sony disproved this. The Projector Lamp Source continued to attemt to convince me that any four of the primary manufactures had equal quality bulbs: Philips, Osram, Ushio or Phoenix. Unfortunately the bulb that was received was from none of these manufactures let alone from Philips.
They lie they will cheat you out of your money and force you to take up your dispute with VISA or BBB to get your money back for selling anything but an OEM bulb. Buyer beware and run away from these crooks. This company, if you can call it that, is full of lies and deceit. They claim to only use OEM bulbs and that cannot be further from the truth. "Beware, Knock off. Even though they say "original genuine" it's a complete fake. That's how we lose jobs and manufacturing. I saved money approx. 40% but they would not have got my business without fraud. The bulb is not as bright as my factory installed lamp. I will not buy again."
"I bought a replacement lamp for my Toshiba 52HM84 from Projector Lamps Canada. There website is slathered with the slogan "ALL ORIGINAL PROJECTOR LAMPS GUARANTEED!" So I felt safe in the knowledge I was buying a Toshiba bulb. Nope! I got a knock-off! When I called them to accuse them of it Martha, their CSR, told me "ALL ORIGINAL PROJECTOR LAMPS" was the brand name. But don't worry, if I haven't opened the box (which was the only way I could possibly be aware of their scam) they'd take it back for just 10% restocking fee. I would recommend that anyone wanting a real bulb, buy else where. Anyone looking for a knock-off bulb should also shop elsewhere because this was expensive as far as a knock-off is concerned as well. SCAM!"
"I bought a lamp for my panasonic tv which is advertised as new, not refurbished from Panasonic. When I received the item it looked cheap, I doubted it was from Panasonic. The housing was used, the glass was not new and the bulb looked retrofitted. The lamp failed less than a month later, I got a full refund but we all know we always lose out due to paypal. They seem to no longer sell this lamp.
I found another site to order a lamp and it this time it was the real deal, it looked new, and came with proper instructions and labels."
"BEWARE! Ordered a bulb for a 65" Mitsubishi TV online that was "in stock", and told it would ship in 24 to 48 hours. SIX DAYS later, nothing. Emailed the company who said they didn't have it in stock (even though the website said "in stock" the entire time), and told it would take up to TWO WEEKS just for them to order it in, then another 24 to 48 hours to ship, and another week to get it. Emailed the company a second time, got NO response. I could have ordered elsewhere if they were honest enough to admit they didn't keep it in stock in the first place. VERY dishonest, misleading, lied to me to stop me from ordering from someone who actually has the bulb. Don't even think about using this company!!"
"They are good and trustworthy. Had a problem and they resolved it with a few phone call. They used common sense in dealing with my problem and proved they are a customer focused company. I will do business with them again."
"SIMPLE :
FAST SHIPPING, BEST PRICE AND BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Purchased on Monday afternoon, got the lamp Wednesday morning. Asked a question by email and got an answer within 30 minutes..... JUST A WOW!!"
"I ordered a lamp for my projector, the part name on the invoice was "BENQ 5J.J2K02.001 replacement projector lamp" however it was not a Benq manufactured part they shipped me. Neither the box nor the lamp gave any indication of the actual manufacturer. I had to phone Benq to determine that it was not made by Benq.
Projector Lamps Canada's website says "100% genuine bulbs" which led me to believe they did not sell clone lamps. I wanted a genuine Benq lamp.
Projector bulbs are expensive, but rather than being heavily discounted like other clone lamp suppliers, the price for this clone lamp was just a few dollars below the price of genuine Benq parts from other suppliers.
To their credit, the part was delivered promptly and they accepted a return and full credit, and paid for the shipping."
"I just recently bought an ET-LAE1000 replacement lamp from this company and it was easier (and cheaper!) than going to AV stores in Toronto. I have bought a replacement lamp for my Panasonic PT-AE1000 projector at two different AV stores before, and both times they had to special order it. This meant that despite how expensive it was, I had to wait two weeks and travel to the store twice. When I ordered from Projector Lamps Canada, I got an order confirmation right away, and later that day got a shipping notice. It arrived in two days and I never had to leave my house."
"One of the best experiences I have had shopping online! I needed an ET-LAX100 Panasonic lamp for my PT-AX200 projector and found it at Projector Lamps Canada after searching Google.ca. A lot of online retailers I checked out listed the lamp in stock on their sites, but having been burned a few times before I made sure to call. Sure enough, most did not actually have stock, quoting a lead time of 7-10 "business days" (do online retailers not do business on Saturdays?? Isn't the internet open 24/7??) When I called Projector Lamps Canada, the 2 they had in stock on the website were actually in stock, and I ordered both of them - the price here was a lot better than most of the other places I looked, and although I found them for a little less in the US (about $20, give or take w/ the exchange rate) I was hesitant to buy from the States because of the duties and brokerage charges, not to mention the shipping fees (most places were quoting $50 to Canada even though they ship for free in the US - not fair really). So, for $359.99 per lamp and free shipping I was very happy when I got the lamps 2 days later! The Panasonic projector we have in the home theatre room is back up and running, which is good because the Super Bowl is this week and I didn't want to have to resort to watching in on a 32inch screen in the kitchen!
Would for sure recommend Projector Lamps Canada to a friend.
