"After finding this company while roaming through the internet, and hearing nothing but good reviews, I decided to see and give it a try myself. And let me tell you, there is not one regret. From start to finish, there was no complications what-so-ever; everything from friendly and honest sales reps to quality control and timely shipping, a very top notch company that everyone should come to for high end custom computers, or anything in between.

The computer I ordered came within a week, and not one problem with it, at all. I appreciate the hard work and VERY honest people at Puget, it is hard to find a company out there of this magnitude.

"Puget Systems is quite frankly the best custom computer seller I've had the pleasure to order from. Here are a couple of reasons why:

1. Knowledgeable Staff: I worked closely with a staff member at Puget. I had done my research and knew what components I wanted, but Puget's associate had much more experience in integrating components and made some great suggestions that vastly improved the system I ended up getting versus what I originally proposed for the same price tag.

2. *You* get what *they* pay for: I got every cable, every screw, every manual, everything that came with the components that had a possibility of being used by me as an end user, all neatly packed together.

3. I got *exactly* what I wanted - no bloat, no "minimum" configuration: I had a video card that I knew would work. I knew I wanted a flavor of Linux on the machine, but I wasn't sure which one. When I expressed these two needs/wants to my Puget representative, the answer the same: No OS? No problem. No video card? No problem. They used a stock card and OS to test and benchmark my system, removed their components and then cabled me to fit the needs of my own components.

4. Fantastic customer service: If the other three items didn't convince you of their quality customer service, let me assure you, the experience was of that quality all the way around. I never once felt I was dealing with anything other than a triple-A company devoted to making the experience a positive one for me and insuring I got the product that would fit my needs.

"It appears that Puget Systems is growing into an efficient, expert and customer-centric company, just at the moment when the "big guys" like Dell and HP are losing their way.

I am an older buyer, who wants a completely reliable machine with huge hard-drive capacity and extended longevity, so that I can store music and photos without the cost of changing machines frequently. I was very impressed that Puget's customer service guy (Perry) emailed me after my first foray into experimenting with their custom configuration system online. I tried several other firms and realized that I was getting much more personal and focused help from Puget. Their value in designing and specifying the right machine is a huge part of what they have to offer, and this sharply distinguishes them from their competitors.

The build and delivery processes were exactly as represented, and start-up was easy. The build-quality is top-notch. They kept me completely informed of where everything was and provided the optimal amount of written documentation, even for a detail-driven dinosaur like me. I've had no reason to need their tech support because I haven't had any problems, so I can't really rate it.

All in all, I'd have to say that this has been one of the very best customer experiences I've had for years, in any product or service, and I tend to use only the best.

"Technical specs on their product page was missing the mounting size. I realized this after I ordered 2 HFC's. I googled and learned those products wouldn't worked for me and three minutes after placing my order canceled it. They then were going to charge me a 15% restocking fee on a product they never even shipped. I complained and they reduced the fee to 6%."

"Excellent consult, worked thru applications we'll be using -- today and in the future. Listened to desires, made recommendation for competitor product to meet specific need we were looking for, allowed us to determine its importance. Quick response, always professional, layman terms, didn't oversell or over promise. Prices seem fair, slightly higher, though not ridiculous and worth it (so far) given support.

"First, please forgive that this post is long, however, I don’t think I can do the topic justice if abbreviated too much.

I had a perfectly good computer but came into some money and since it was burning a hole in my pocket and I wanted to advance my 3D modeling hobby I took the plunge and shopped for a high-end computer system. I was familiar with Puget Custom Computers from the web and using their on-line configuration program went whole hog. I had picked Puget Custom Computers because of their reputation of quality and good service. After toying around for several days I submitted the configuration and was immediately contacted by their sales staff. Over the next few days we fine tuned the system, sometimes adding items and, to their credit, sometimes nicely doing a reality check on my appetite. Being a computer novice I asked a lot of silly questions but Puget Custom Computers answered all my questions politely and didn’t make me feel ignorant.

Once the order was placed two of the items were identified as not in stock. One, the speakers, was substituted with a different model which turned out to be better suited for my purposes. The other, a 30” monitor was placed on back order. Instead of a lot of promises as to availability, the sales staff actually offered to delete the monitor from the order allowing me to pick one up locally. I was able to follow the build on-line and although it seemed to take forever it actually was only a couple of days. During the build I had a lot of “nervous” questions (did I mention this was a very expensive machine?) and the sales staff was very patient with me. After the build was completed they even sent me photographs of “my baby.” Their delivery tracking system was very impressive, allowing me to follow the system from pick up at Puget Custom Computers to when it was placed on the delivery truck locally.

Finally the big day arrived and my system was delivered. I was impressed with the packing and the extras they provided including a notebook on my computer filled with all sorts of useful information. It wasn’t long before the computer was unpacked and hooked up. I pressed the power button and watched as the bios ran and advised that no drives could be found and that the operating system could not be loaded. In an untypical fashion I didn’t panic, figuring that it was likely a loose connection somewhere, and I called Puget Custom Computer support. I reached the technical staff immediately (which is unheard of these days) and was walked through opening the computer and checking connections. Soon the problem was identified, a cracked carapace on the top SATA port. Then I heard the phrase that I had been dreading, “you will have to return the computer for repairs.” Disappointment doesn’t come close to describing my feelings. I had spent a lot of money (five figures) and now was imaging weeks of waiting for a system I no longer had faith in.

To their credit Puget Custom Computers went into overdrive to get the problem resolved. I was contacted by customer service by email and phone and they arranged for a return delivery the very same day. The repairs, no small matter of replacing the motherboard on a liquid cooled system, were done the next day and the system tested that night. The repaired (I hesitate to call it repaired since for all practical purposes it was still a brand new computer) was shipped out the following day and delivered the next day. Total solution time for a very serious problem was three and a half days. I can not imagine a quicker resolution for such a major problem. As important, Puget Custom Computers understood the disappointment and crash of faith I had when the computer failed to work. Not only did they do a superior job on repairing the computer, they were friendly, understanding and supportive in repairing my faith in their company and on-line shopping in general. I felt that I wasn’t dealing with a corporation, but actual human beings.

My experience with Puget Custom Computers was both the best of worlds and worst of worlds. Spending the amount I did and not getting perfection the first time out is a hard pill to swallow. Having experienced Puget Custom Computers’ outstanding service and support and quickly getting the computer of my dreams running like a charm was a joy that, to be honest, out shines my initial disappointment. The measure of a company’s worth is not only in their product, but what they do when the product fails. Puget Custom Computers not only passed that test, but performed at a world class level in that area.

"This is the second purchase I have made from Puget Systems in four years. Both machines (high end gaming systems) have been flawess relative to their components and assembly (I will not discuss MS Vista here :-< ). In my experiences Puget has kept me informed without being intrusive, have delivered on or before their estimate, responed quickly and comprehensively to my questions (regardless of how trivial or perhaps antagonistic the questions may have seemed) and provided information to me outside their organization to futher aid my "custom build" decisions. Puget Systems are wonderful folks and worthy of your business. They somehow bestow a pride on their customers. With each of my purchases, I have been both, very happy with the computer they built for me and, at the same time, strangely proud that the computer was made by a company as confident as Puget."

"Well you get what you pay for and maybe more! After some research I placed an order with PCC. They were about $200 more than the cheapest equivalent that I could find and $400 more than the components themselves. So what did I get - an initial telephone discussion in which several things I thought I wanted turned out to be not necessary. A couple of minor upgrades were recommended which have subsequently turned out to be very sound advice. So saved some initial money. During the build I thought of a couple of further questions and modifications, no problem whatsoever (try that with Dell!). Then there was an ongoing stream of information on the site as to how my build was progressing. It shipped a day ahead of the proposed date and arrived quickly. It was packed perfectly, the best I have seen of the various computers I have bought. I had a couple of minor issues with the functioning of the computer when I got it all setup and the service from tech support was excellent. They even followed up with a personal email query to see how things were going. Incidentally the problem turned out to be with a peripheral USB device and nothing to do with the computer but that didn't stop the excellent tech support service. So was it good value, absolutely, excellent advice in configuring the initial computer, well built with the best components (I looked inside, neat and tidy), and impeccable after purchase tech support by people in the same facility that built it. Everyone was knowledgeable and most pleasant. Don't buy a custom computer from anyone else. "

"Let me start by admitting I am a loyal Puget customer. I bought a near top-of-the-line system for myself a little over 4 years ago and it is still running strong and pretty quiet. It is more impressive when you realize that I leave it running distributed computing programs 24/7 (i.e. processor always at 100%) even when the summer indoor temp is around 88 degrees (it is a dry heat). I know, I should take better care of my system, but the point is that the computer I got from Puget can handle it and I intend to use it for at least a few more years. The computer is rock-solid reliable, which is the main thing I look for in computers.

About 6 months ago I needed a computer for work and convinced them to purchase from Puget. I got a good mid-to-high range computer that I know will work well.

Currently I am setting up a computer that I convinced my spouse to purchase from Puget. The goal was a low budget system like the current system, but something that won't be a constant source of headaches and won't die after a few years. With help from Brett on the Puget staff, we pulled something together. It certainly is no ultra-cheap "how-low-can-we-go" special, but I know the time I save not fixing the computer is well worth the extra money up-front. My only complaint so far is an annoying Puget logo on a front panel which I am hoping to replace.

Puget may have a reputation for being expensive, but in my research, I found that other systems with comparable quality are pretty similar in price. Puget only uses good parts.

What else can I say? Puget is part of a rare breed of companies that truly cares about customers and quality. In a lifetime of searching, there are only a few companies that have earned my respect. Puget is one of them.

"Easy navigation of the site. Plenty of explanation on the products as well as a great selection of products. Sales rep was quick to respond to questions. The entire process (assembly, testing, packaging) is monitored and tracked on their website.
The tracking feedback from their tracking system could be better; might as well go to the carrier's website to see the location of your product.
The product is top quality. Well done, nothing missing, well packaged and all the wires/cables needed to add future parts to your system.

The tracking feedback is in regards to shipping tracking -- and you're exactly right that you might as well go to the carrier's website (UPS, FedEx, etc). The reason for this is that we can only display the information the carrier gives us, which means that we'll essentially be diplaying the same information that they are. We built the tool to bring that information in to our website as a convenience, so you wouldn't have to look elsewhere. However, your post has inspired some ideas around here of ways we can present the same information more clearly than the carriers, or even (dare I say) make it more fun! "I am a photographer and I recently switched from a traditional darkroom to digital printing and I needed to upgrade my computer. I decided that a custom computer would probably be a better choice than an off-the-shelf model and, after doing a lot of research, I chose Puget Systems. I have now had my new computer for a couple of months and I couldn’t be happier. I worked with Perry Azevedo to determine what would work best for me within my budget. He suggested a configuration and answered all my questions. He didn’t try to sell me anything I did not need and, in fact, helped me to select the parts that would give me the best performance and value for my money. The whole process was very pleasant, including being able to track the progress, as the computer was being built, on their web site. What I got was exactly what I wanted with nothing that I did not want.

The computer was well packaged and included all software, instructions and hardware. Everything worked perfectly right out of the box and I am getting the kind of perfromance I had hoped for.

Puget’s prices are a little higher than other compnies but for that you get very personal service, products that are tested for reliability and performance, a true custom computer, fast build times and shipping and peace of mind. I would also like to make a special mention of their web site which I feel is the best in the business and makes the process of choosing a computer much easier.

I highly recommend Puget Systems. This is the type of company that is rare these days. They care about their products and their customers and it shows in the way they do business.
