"Just wow! Everything from Puget is over my expectations. They do EVERYTHING to make sure you have the best computer. Plus, they gives you all the informations about it and pictures of the tests.
Even in the box, they amazed me: everything has a sticker on it to explain what it is, what you have to do with it and they give you a nice binder with all the informations about your computer. Oh and they optimise your computer after Windows (or Linux) installation. There is so much to say but, mainly, even if I am living on the opposite of the continent, I will definitely do business with Puget Systems again."
"Perhaps like many Puget Systems clients, I discovered Puget Systems on the internet. After an Ixquick search on "computers made (assembled) in the USA," I reduced my options to Puget Systems and one other company. The other company's prices were lower, but according to online research, Puget seemed superior to the overall PC market. In addition, although I am only a "novice nerd" (above average in many computer skills, but not a programmer), I was intrigued by the concept of customizing a system to have enough memory capacity and processor speed to potentially last up to five years with upgrades. Of note, my Puget laptop (built with the Arctic Cooling option) is the quietest I have ever used, and the restore/rebuild CDs that come with every Puget System are to computer users what reserve parachutes are to skydivers!
Puget Systems customer service cannot be overrated: all non-rhetorical questions are answered! Special thanks to Wilson, Jeff, and Brett, and also to president Jon Bach, who actually encourages clients to directly e-mail him. . .and answers.
Following the staging, assembly, testing, and QC process of my laptop online, I was impressed when Josh discovered a problem during QC on 8.20, when Ken worked past regular business hours to correct it, and when Kyle and Josh repeated extensive testing and QC first performed on 8.20 again on 8.21.
One of my interests is business ethics. From articles I have read in the Puget Systems blog archives (including "A Small Business at Heart" and "The Craft of PC Building"), and especially what I have experienced in terms of products and customer service, Puget Systems is active proof that "business ethics" is not a contradictory phrase but an attainable and ongoing process. I honestly respect, even admire Puget Systems as a company; since I have a long and longstanding boycott list, my standards in this area are fairly high. I work in a medical center; if Puget Systems' general business practices were implemented by the medical-insurance industry, I think the United States would be much closer to achieving actual healthcare reform.
Although I do not plan on purchasing a new desktop computer in the near future, the next time I do, it will be ordered from Puget Systems!"
"They're a great company to do business with. The web site helps you easily decide what you need. Real people provide timely and useful advice. And the assembly crew does an excellent job building it. Overall, the kind of service you don't often find."
"The computer, itself, is quiet and efficient, and customer service is excellent (though primarily limited to weekdays and standard office hours). They provide a notebook of information with the PC, and work with you to solve any problems related to the PC.
My husband is also going to order a PC from them, and was especially happy with the ability to customize the components, and with their thorough (and documented) testing of the computer, prior to shipping.
My problems have been primarily with Windows (transitioning and moving files from XP to 8.1 and from Outlook Express to Outlook 2013, plus the limitations of 8.1's File History) and with the connection to my back-up external hard drive --- which Puget Systems is working to solve.
The case design was also initially a problem for me, because the the start buttons and ports are on the top (not in front). Having a standard small computer desk, I could not access them when the new PC replaced my old one, on the lower platform, under the desktop. But we figured out a way to make it work."
"The overwhelming 5 of 5 star reviews tells it all. I'm a return customer because of a positive experience 5 years ago and their service has done nothing but improve since then."
"I used to build my own PCs. In fact, I used to build for friends and family too. I've been a Puget customer 4 times over the past few years and every single time I'm so thrilled that I decided to go with them instead of building my own. The difference in cost is negligible and frankly, they are just better at it. You should see the detailed testing they put your system through! They even found an issue with my CPU fan when run under load. Not only did they find it, and tell me about it (who else does that?), they fixed it without any additional charges. Had I built the machine? I'd be a few gaming sessions from a new CPU :/
Puget rocks. Do yourself a favor and let them build you your next machine!"
"This is a copy of a rating I posted on their website. I wanted to share it elsewhere. "They deserve their good ratings. I would like to put in a plug for them here (and will in other places as well) because I want others in my circumstances to know that there IS a technical solution out there that is worth getting and that will add hugely to your quality of life. I got my extra-quiet computer from them quite some months ago, and wanted to do a serious test drive with all the programs I use (and would be using ON it) before submitting my review. Being a careful and cautious, thorough person, with a number of visual disabilities, I wanted to "get it right" with this computer. I asked a lot of questions of a lot of dealers, but when I wouldn't respond with promptness to their hustle, they dropped me or urged me to come by their shop for a harder sell. These folks answered every single question I had, very thoughtfully. They inquired as to my needs in detail, because I do need some "special features" due to being visually handicapped. I was impressed by their care and attention, and reassured as to their honesty and merited pride in their product. I had not been able to use my dictation system and other things I need for my visual disabilities on my previous computer, because the fan created extraneous noise that interfered with many things I needed to do. This extra-quiet and very powerful computer can handle all my handicapped and professional software, and is quiet enough not to interfere with voice commands. The latest version of Dragon Dictate on it is a dream come true. A freakin DREAM. For anyone who has struggled with this, I don't have to say more. This is the quiet computer you have been looking for. I had post-sales questions, which they were kind enough to answer personally and patiently. It came with all the information I needed to set it up, and worked out of the box. This sort of service died in 1950s Iowa, surely. Or so I thought. Just for a laugh - I took a photo on my cell, of the back of the PC, to a computer retail shop when I needed to get a certain connector for a second screen (this is their budget model, I got, now), and the shop guy's jaw dropped when he saw the photo on my cellphone. I looked at my own cellphone screen again just to check, a bit alarmed, when I saw the look on his face, because I wanted to make sure it wasn't something prurient that had made its way onto my cellphone (prank or something!?), such was the look on the shop guy's face! Seriously. Please, for any of you with visual handicaps struggling to find a system that will work with a lot of spoken commands or dictation (doctors or lawyers even), consider Puget's machines. Disbelieve me if you will. I'm just rocking out on my dream monster here until my next eye operation, much happier and more comfortable than I have ever been on my computer, and fighting my kids off for it. :)""
"This is my third computer that I have purchased from Pugetsystems, and let me tell you something. It is all about the service, period. The fact that this company uses quality parts is secondary. I looked at the web page, they came forward and asked if I needed help? What I wanted to do with the computer? I made some selections and ordered the computer. They contacted me and explained that what I wanted to build with the parts I chose would not be to my advantage and also would be a waste of money. They emailed me to let me know that the computer had passed all of it's inspections and tests and to let me know when it was being shipped. They called me to follow up with the computer I purchased to make sure it arrived ok and that I was satisfied with the final product. these guys and gals are the best. Pugetsystems make Dell and Gateway computers look like a bunch of Amateurs. Hands down the best computer company ever."
"I've found a new custom computer builder going forward. Puget was been incredibly responsive, professional, and helpful during the entire process, answered all my questions and sent me a truly excellent computer that I look forward to using for years to come. By far the best experience I've ever had with a custom PC builder."
"I wanted/needed a new computer after WinXP finally got kicked over the cliff. I had to move from XP to Win 8.1 - yikes what a transition AND get a new pc AND upgrade from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2013 so I was NOT looking forward to the challenge. I did NOT want another system - like all previous ones - that comes preloaded with all this stuff on it that I never use/understand/don't want - i.e. bloatware so I want a built-from-scratch system. Wanted a tiny footprint on my desk - so I Googled around and found Puget. I spent good money so I could get top-of-line. VERY HAPPY WITH IT. Can't say enough about the customer support provided by Puget! Besides that I am very pleased with my new pc, Puget was terrific to work with - ALWAYS answered the phone when I called after I rec'd my pc (I'm a non-technie so needed help to get things set up). They were patient, responsive and could speak in simple-speak in non-tech terms and with an accent I could actually understand (Unlike so many tech support lines these days). They told me things I DIDN'T need when I was selecting the system I wanted. They would follow-up along the way - with valuable input about my system choices - not sales-pitch - but valuable info to help me make an informed decision. I am soooo impressed with this company, their knowledge and their people skills!!"
"The entire process of configuring and buying a computer from Puget Systems was very easy. The staff was helpful at every step of the process, they answered my questions and made suggestions. When I received the finished laptop, all of the steps in the build process were documented, and each tech that worked on it was identified by name. I feel that they took ownership of the entire process. I would never hesitate to recommend Puget Systems to anyone."
"With this Traverse, its my third system from Puget Systems. And, like the two before it, the experience was top rate."
"High quality machines assembled and sold by highly qualified and caring staff. A real effort is made to provide the best machines and service possible."
"Customer Service helped very much when a piece of legacy equipment I added on was causing the computer to malfunction."
"Puget Systems representatives were very helpful with planning my order. They knew a lot about the hardware, helped me come to a decision, and didn't get in the way at all. I'm very satisfied overall."
