"Ordered an AMT pump/motor combo from Pumpproducts at the request of our maintenance department, received it and realized we needed two. We ordered a second before having our maintenance department plumb the first one. It turned out that the pump motor is junk, it started overheating incessantly right after installation. We called Pumpproducts to talk about cancelling our order for the second one. Was told "there is nothing wrong with the pump and this is normal" - really, normal is an overheating pump cutting out right after being set up? Was offered a RMA and a refund of less than $300 (after claiming we would have to pay their cost of shipping to us + return shipping - we already paid $71 for shipping, and would use our shipping account to return, more lies) , never-mind the fact that we just spent almost $1300 on these pumps. Ordered a new motor from a competitor and have had absolutely no issues. New motor doesn't even get warm to the touch, certainly no overheating issues. Will know better in the future never to order AMT pumps from Pumpproducts. Live and learn."

When you called to cancel your second order it was unfortunately already in transit and would need to be returned as it was not able to be cancelled at that point. Being that this was a special order item and we ordered it specifically for you, it does require a 25% restocking charge as well as the covering of incurred freight costs. As for your other pump, if there is any factory defect causing an issue your pump does have a factory warranty. We would be more than happy to assist you in filing a claim with AMT pump to have your defective unit repaired or replaced under their warranty program.”
