"Quibids is awful and they steal your money. They are definitely running a scam with this. I felt that I had to warn people so they didn't make the same mistake. They don't tell you they will charge you card. There is no way to win the "auctions". This is a waste of your money and time people! DONT TRY IT!"

"My number one complaint is the new auction format they are now using. The original auction format was bidding one auction only. They now have it as multiply auction format. What that means is not only are you bidding on one item you may want, but that auction is connected to 5 other auctions so when you bid on the auction you want that bid is also automatically added on the other 5 auctions and visa versa, so you are really bidding against not only the auction you want but the 5 other auctions. This drives up the price for each auction to the highest of the 6 auctions, not only increasing there profits, as all the auctions cost everyone there bids and in many cases causing the auction you want to win to be pushed to a price higher than it probably would have been as a single auction format. Once someone wins one auction they also win the other 5 and now have a choice on which one they want to buy. Once they by one the 6 auctions the other 5 are left unclaimed and go back into the auction pool for another round of bidding. What a gimmick. Also after careful checking of the retails prices quibids list for there auction items I found 90% of them to be inflated by 20% and as much as 100% giving the buyer a false sense of the deals they are getting."

"Horrible site! 1st, you spend $60 fee. Then, there is no guarantee that you will win anything back. I spent $60.80 for $10 shell gas gift card. What a waste of money. Ebay is much better because if you do not win the bid, you do not loose money. You will loose the money at QuiBids. I consider this site like a casino (gambling). "After researching quibids, I strongly advise people to avoid them. Do not even consider getting involved with them. (I think) What they do is neither auction or retail; its a bizarre form of gambling and they should be shut down by the Fed for 1) Misleading advertising (on TV, their site and across Internet) 2) Under laws against bait and switch as they make consumers think they are buying one thing (making true bids on true items for retail sale but they are actually gambling) 3) Shilling is illegal. Shilling is where an auction does something dishonest to artificially jack up bids such as plant a fake bidder among bidders who has no interest in buying and does not infact buy anything. Using a program to serve as a shill is still shilling 4) It is a felonious site under Rico, the law against organized crime. The staff has to know what the site does is criminal in order to perform their jobs, involving them in organized crime. They seem to violate fraud laws.

People who have been cheated by Quibids should file a complaint with Their state Attorney general & perhaps the FTC, since it is organized crime across state lines and with the Post Master, as they violate US postal law by shipping the products when they are "won". It is a felony to use the mail system as part of a system to defraud people.

Of course, I welcome Quibids to explain to us consumers here at Resellerratings how what they do is not fraud."

"Stay away from this site guys Lets start off by saying this. They advertise such and such expensive item (Sold for amount of dollars) (eg a IPAD 2 for 30 bucks or something) You go in thinking you have a shot at getting a super good deal for something. Ok, before you start, you have to bid. Bids are purchased in bundles. 100 for 60 bucks, or 1.60 for one bid. You see stuff you want, go for like a few cents or in this case (a few bids) bids usually go in in increments of 1 cent. Don't forget the it's 1.60 per bid. So you bid, hoping you have a chance at getting that item for a cheap deal. Again you see ipads an 32 t.v's go for 4.00 dollars or 10 dollars or something like that. Thinking you will score big, you start the auction. Here's a pattern I noticed. On auctions I bid, i get flooded with tons of other bidders out of nowhere. On bids you didn't bid on, for example, I was bidding on a 100 bids, it went to 8 bucks , i also another 100 bid auction up and running, I didn't bid on that, but when I returned to that screen it ended at 2 cents! wtf! while the one I use the autobid on, had up to 20 bidders, the other one had nothing? what are the odds of the happening. Was bidding on 50 bids, i lost that auction, only "shortly" after I ran out of bids. That one ended at 2.75, and later I see another 50 bids acution, end at 65 cents? What the hell. You see that Ipad2? How bout that Mac book 13 inch? You want? You won't get it, trust me. It's programed with bots that will bid against you at all odds forcing you to buy more bids. It's really quite sad how bout come up with these ideas to scam people. It's really sad. I think I wasted over 110 dollars, on nothing in return. Stay away guys, your better off going to eBay. If you guys get screwed? don't say I didn't warn you. Try it if you don't believe, try to go after a higher end item. (ipad2 or a 32 inch t.v) stay away guys. "

"When I first joined Quibids, I never really thought that I would win any big ticket item. I though that, for the most part, those are for people with lots of time and patience. So when I decided to bid on the Toshiba Satellite laptop, I thought I would just be wasting my bids. I used the bid-o-matic option and left the room... when I came back, I was shocked to see the word SOLD in front of me! I had just won the laptop for under $2.00!!! This was perfect because my wife has been complaining for the longest time that her prehistoric desktop is slow as molasses so this was truly the perfect birthday gift for her. Can't wait for the next big ticket item I'll be bidding on!!"

"My Quibids review after having tried their site after seeing the commercial I have to tell people to stay away if you do not want to lose a $100.00 and get nothing in return for it then just stay away. Their commercial promises you a good deal saying you can get a $2,000.00 TV for $123.90 what they don't tell you right away is that each penny ($0.01) cost sixty cents ($0.60) this means that this TV will cost $7434.00 in the end. Now to be honest this doesn't mean that you would had made all those bids, but you could make only $1000.00 worth in bids and still walk away with nothing, also those bids you pay for you know in bulk so they really cost $60.00 upfront expire. Also about shills and bots I can not tell you for certainity that Quibids uses those but when you look at the bidding that goes on you have to wonder why someone would pay $500.00 worth in bids for a monitor that you could get at newegg, tigerdirect, amazon or even ebay for $150.00. Now if you don't want that previous mentioned $1,000.00 in bids to mean nothing you could use their buy it now, this buy it now feature is another screw you move by them, they will allow you to use your $1,000.00 in bids towards the item, but they will not mention that the same item might had only really costed at any other website a $1,000.00 to begin with (to be fair no store I know of actually tells you their competitors price, but they also don't expect you to spend money and end up with nothing), yes they inflate their value price.





So in the end I will do you a favor, my advice is that nothing in life is free and there is no way you will get that $2,000.00 TV for pennies, do your friends a favor too if they think about getting on to Quibids tell them what I have told you "stay away from schemes like this one".



Forgot to add something, okay there are a few people who don't believe me when I tell them to stay away from Quibids, they say their friends have won a few auctions and so on, what they don't realize is that Quibids starts you off in beginners auctions. Auctions that you and maybe 2-3 other people can see, this takes place for the first few auctions about 3-4 I believe these auctions often literally go for a penny, simply because no one else is bidding on them because no one else can see them, after you win about at least 2 of these beginner's auctions you are then forced to go up against their regular bidders in regular auctions where it quickly becomes apparent that you are not going to walk away with anything that is a bargain, again this is where I believe shills (people who up the price for the company) and bots (same thing just apps not real people) come in simply because the bids (usually 2-4 times the items value) that people make don't make sense unless someone is telling them to do that or someone has programmed them to do that. Also a few more details about these beginners auctions one they will not get your $60.00 (initial sign up fee) back in anyway or give you value for your $60.00, most of these auctions are for very cheap items like bids packs (totally useless, they do not count towards the items actually price only bought bids do not won voucher bids) and a couple of different $10.00 cheap gift cards. After winning 2 of these auctions you are then dropped into the real auctions and are forced to contend in a real auction with people that may be bots or shills designed to make sure you do not walk away with a bargain. Also there are some people online who will tell you that you can win don't listen to these people, these same people will supply you with a quibids link that will actually be a reference link. Clicking on this link and signing up will get them free bids and will get you nothing.


Just one more thing that I came across, note this was posted by another user on another board who had a problem getting something he won to work and when he tried to get the warranty on it he realized something:

"I feel that quibids.com is a very deceptive website. I think it is also likely that it appeals to people with gambling issues.
Please realize that quibids.com's bids are $.60 each! Whether you buy 45 or 800 bids the price per bid is exactly the same.
If you follow this through logically then everytime $1 is "quibid" (spent on the tally board) then the auction actually receives 100 (1 cent on the board) bids x $.60 (actual dollars spent per 1 cent bid made on the buy price of the item) or $60. This gives the appearance for instance that a MacBook Air computer that sells for $50 on auction was a great deal. Well technically yes it is. But be aware also that quibids was paid $50 (worth of bids) x 100 (bids per dollar) x $.60 per bling (bid). That's a tidy $3000. What's their cost, $800 or $900 bucks max. Whoa buddy!

"I want to say that I enjoy the quibids site and their premise, and that I've saved money purchasing a few items from them. However, their turn around time is terrible. I've won three auctions, and nearly a month later I've only just received a single item. None were items that should be difficult to obtain, items that they were selling, and continue to sell at least once or twice a day. Furthermore, their customer service has been abysmal. They don't respond and their live chat makes you wait in line before saying that everyone is busy and to try again later. After my first auction I was planning to do much more business with qiubids, now I don't know if I'll even use my remaining bids."
