"OK prices selection and shipping. But other than that forget about it. No warranty no returns. Had a problem with a BMW thermostat leaking within two months of installation and it went into a black hole as far as customer service. I even called the company and talk to a “customer service representative“ to verify my email. Even had him send me a email while I was on the phone. They will tell you to check your junk mail box and never return my call or email or request for warranty or return information. Again,Never again"
"I needed a new fuel filter to get my X5 on the road for my holiday trip. I made a big mistake in choosing RMEuropean. Not because they had a problem getting it to me (it got here too lat, but i could live with that). But because their owner doesn't care about customers.
On Tuesday morning before Christmas I called RMeuropean and confirmed with a rep that they had the filter I needed in stock in all of their California warehouses and it could go out immediately. The website assured that meant same day. So I ordered it paying extra for 1-2 day shipping which I believe should have gotten it to me by Wednesday or Thursday latest (ground from LA usually gets to me in 1 day and there was no caveat that Christmas shipping might be slow or there was any reason not to expect the promise to be met).
The RM website said it was shipped at 9 pm Tuesday, but NEVER provided me with a tracking number-it said there could be a 24 hour delay so I kept checking back. It didn't arrive on Thursday so first thing
Friday morning I called them, but they were closed (with an obsolete message). So I emailed them through their Customer Service form but nearly a week later I had not gotten any response. (It did arrive late in the day on Friday, but the carrier, not a normal one, left it where I didn't see it and since I didn't have a tracking number I had no way of knowing it was there). So when I got an email from them asking for a review on Google I posted a two star one.
After I posted the review, the Owner/Manager of RMEuropean, Art, wrote to me. He refunded my shipping which, had it come with an apology for not communicating earlier would have made me a fan. But instead he insulted me, called me unfair and denied all responsibility, then asked me to take down my review because he has a "small company". It made me feel like the shipping refund was a bribe to take down my honest review. I wrote back to him and said I'd be happy to edit my review to reflect getting the shipping back and explained why I felt that when his company promised to get it to me in 1-2 days they had some responsibility for seeing that it got here. Art wrote back that he doesn't want my business.
I stand by my review. If a business promises to get something there by a certain date, fails to provide a promised tracking number and doesn't tell you they will be closed all day on Christmas Eve and then doesn't bother to respond to your Customer Service request they at least owe you an apology. But this business says they don't want me if I won't leave a good review. But they ask all of their customers to leave a "positive" review. Buyer beware."
"I've ordered parts from them before, and never had any problems. Most of the time, they had the cheapest prices and everything was usually received very quickly. But, I recently ordered some parts, and when they arrived, the container was damaged. I opened the box for inspection, and found that box for one of the parts was also damaged. I immediately called their Customer Service, where I was instructed to provide them with pictures of the damaged container and part box. I sent them multiple pictures of both, and told them I just wanted to replace this part, since there was no way to determine if it had been damaged during shipping. They then sent me an email asking for more pictures of the part box (again) and of the actual part. Which I provided them, but again, I explained to them that there was no way to determine if the part had been damaged and I would feel much better if I could just receive a replacement part to install. After that, they sent me another email, this time stating that the warehouse manager took a look at the picture and didn't think anything was wrong with the part. They also stated that there was a 2 year warranty on the part, just in case something went wrong down the road. Now this is not what someone wants to hear when they're about to install a new part on their vehicle. I replied back that I really didn't think a warehouse manager is qualified to determine if a part is damaged from looking at a picture. Also, what good is a 2 year warranty when I get stranded because the part breaks while I'm driving on the freeway late at night. Now, I'm an Engineer, with over 20 years experience in the automotive industry, and there's no way I would put this part in a customer's car. So I'm not going to put it in my car. All I wanted was the satisfaction of knowing that a part I'm stalling in my car was OK. I asked them is they were going to replace the part. Yes or No? They never responded back. I guess I'll start a dispute with the credit card company to stop payment for this part, that may or may not be damaged. In my opinion, this is 100% Overblown and never should have gotten to this level. All they had to do was replace the part. Upon receipt of the returned part, they could have tested it, and if it was OK, then put it back in stock. If it was damaged, they could have received a credit from the shipper for the damage. Now they have an Unhappy Customer who will NEVER order from them again, regardless of the price. I guess you get the customer service you pay for. Or, maybe I did?? "
"Ordered a radiator on Monday and it was delivered on Thursday. I had a question about fitment so I emailed customer service and received a response the same day with very helpful answers. I would order again from here without hesitation."
"I returned a part and its been a month now i Still haven't gotten my refund. They never answer emails either. I do not recommend these people. They ****"
"They have the best parts prices and shipping prices. The ship parts faster than everyone else. Definitely recommend these guys and will be buying from them again in the future!"
"RM European is fairly fast with shipping the parts to your door. However, if you ever need to return anything, I mean anything, they will make up fill up a crappy form on the website and then it goes into a black hole - no response or anything. I finally got a response not from filling out the crappy return form, but I emailed several times to any emails that are connected to RM European. The response was unhelpful in resolving the return issue. Without any hope, I filed a claim with Paypal...I am so grateful that I paid RM European with Paypal. I explained to Paypal and return the items. RM European even contacted me to tell me that they received the parts and what I want? Really, just return my money as per Paypal instruction. Instead, they tried to convince me to close the Paypal claim and they will return the money. Really, you ignored me, and now you want me to close the Paypal claim? Maybe if your customer service was better like Amazon, GAP, Walmart, or any of the other zillion online retailers, I would not need to open a Paypal claim. In the end, Paypal finally forced the return of my money. It was a horrible 2 weeks dealing with RM European on the returns.... Please do not buy from RM European if you even think that the part(s) will need to be returned -- you will be very sorry. You have been warned."
"Worst customer service ever!!!"
"I've been buying for years from RM European and they have never disappointed me. Thanks for all your hard work and I look forward to more years of great replacement parts. "
"I've recently purchased a driveshaft for my Mercedes from RMEuropean and it was faulty (wrong size, couldn't be installed on the car). The only way to request a return is a crappy form on their website which I completed but had no response in several days. I got their reaction only after opening a PayPal dispute. After that I was able to get a refund.
This faulty part had caused damage to another sensor on the car and they refused to compensate anything for that.
If I paid using another method than PayPal, I wouldn't have had any way to get a refund.
Try to avoid them anytime you can."
"I recently purchased a HAZET 179XL-7 tool trolley. It was the third attempt at buying a toolbox that was made in Germany online. Ordering such an item seemed to be very problematic. Andy should be applauded for his excellent sales approach and overall capability. I unintentionally made it a difficult process for him to complete this order. Despite that, Andy made it a pleasant, secure affair. I felt that his efforts should definitely be recognized. Sincerely, Samuel J. Frederick "
"I have purchased auto parts from RM European several times in the past and every time it's been a great experience. They shipped my orders right away and their customer service has been really helpful answering my questions over the phone. Not only are they very responsive (unlike a lot of other online businesses out there), but they are also very proactive about solving any problems with customer's best interest in mind. Would definitely recommend this company!"
"I've been buying parts from them for over a decade and have nothing but positive to say about the company. The reviews that I read here are probably just complainers that complain about everything in their life. Out of over 30 orders with RM, I've had absolutely zero issues. The parts are always right and the shipping is always on time. I've called them several times with questions and the customer service guys really friendly and knowledgeable about cars.
"
"I have purchased parts from this company for over 10 years on several different vehicles I have owned. They are terrible to say the least when it comes to returning or exchanging parts. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!!!! I had some guy named Shawn, literally raise his voice at me and refuse to listen to what my concerns were and would not stop talking when I was trying to get my point across. This is the 2nd time in 10 Years that I've had return an item and both times they failed miserably. Stay away from this company, there are so many other company to choose from, where you don't have to deal with this type of service, all you have to do is look. "
"I ordered a front bumper bracket for my car and they literally only sent the minimum.
While they advertise "a front bumper mounting complete" it's only one piece. No one else online sells only one piece for that because porsche parts are unique.
When I called to ask them, customer service was completely unhelpful. Their advice was to look their store online and order separate. The guy did was unwilling to look them up, or do it for me to make my job easier. Dealing with these cars is like dealing with a foreign language, and a lack of help from someone you've already done business with is even more frustrating.
I'll definitely go elsewhere next time and I encourage the next guy to do the same.
It'll help save some headache."
