"I have had nothing but a good experience with Raise.com. I buy discount cards regularly. When I was recently shorted by one card, I was given a refund in short order. (Apparently I bought two cards from an independent seller and he failed to include a second card from the same merchant.) I was pleased that the mistake was addressed so rapidly. I continue to be a good customer of Raise.com"
"I bought Lowes gift cards worth 5k$ with Raise. Lowes recently changed their policy and are no longer accepting egift cards. When I called up customer service they mentioned that they can't help since the purchase was made beyond 100 days. They knew that Lowes changed their policy on egift cards but did not bother to inform their customers. I was a loyal customer of Raise for more than 2 years and have purchased close to 10k$ worth of gift cards and they still did not want to help since my purchase was beyond 100 days. This company customer service is horrible. Even the supervisor Suzy would rather let the loyal customers leave than help them. I have stopped using Raise from then on."
"I messed up an order and Katrina answered the phone and helped me trough a bad situation. Raise.com is awesome"
"I have saved so much money with Raise.com, it truly is amazing what this company does. Do not be fooled by any bad reviews, those members most likely misunderstand their protection with the 100 day guarantee. Yes, I have had cards that were troublesome, but RJ in customer service helped me and he told me my purchase price was always protected by the 100 day guarantee. I saw a refund within 2 days. This is not something that happens a lot, but it can, and that's why the 100 day thing is in place. Thank you RJ!"
"Has been great and just contacted customer service, very quick responds and very friendly. "
"I never received my gift card. I placed my gift card weeks ago and was even sent an email saying my card was shipped but no card worst of all they won't take action until 14 weekdays have passed meaning weeks even though they admit there is no shipping information. The company did NOT have my back. "
"I was surprised that card did not work as advertised. I notified Raise, provided the information that allowed them to investigate, and they kept to their guarantee. I could not ask for more than that."
"I purchased alot of giftcards through your site, over $2,000.00 this year alone. So i purchased a gift card for PF Changs because it was 25% off and I purchased it for far more than I normally would have because of this discount. I went with a friend to dinner and we used about 1/2 of the gift cards balance on dinner, about $50.00 of the $100.00 the card was purchased for. I returned to PF Changs to use the remaining balance with my mother about a week later, we ordered more food than we normally would have, believing I still had a gift card balance of $50.00. Well the bill comes, they run the card and there is a zero balance. I was unable to contact raise because they were closed. So I ended up having to pay almost $70.00 for dinner. I contacted raise the next day and they gave me 75% of the remaining balance left on the card, which wasnt right because I wouldnt have purchased it for so much had i of know i would be out almost $200.00 for the $100.00 giftcard. I contacted PF Changs later who informed me the card I purchased was a promo card, had no cash value, and was a single use card. I think raise should have reimbursed me at least the entire remaining amount left on the card plus what i had to spend on dinner, that i would not have spent so much on had i of known the giftcard was bad. actually, i would not have went there at all."
"I have been a customer of Raise for nearly two years. Starting October 2015, a definite difference in customer service. If there is a delay in shipping a physical card, I need to be notified by Raise, not me having to initiate any communication. Further, if their seller does not mail out the physical card within 3 days, I should be asked if I want a refund. Raise does not stay on top of these things...you have to. All I have seemingly done with nearly every transaction lately is fight to have them make it right. My last disputed transaction took nearly two months to resolve. Got the gift cards promised, checked the balance (which was exactly as I ordered) and then I withdrew a credit card dispute I had initiated over the failure to produce the gift cards. However, once I went to use the gift cards, deactivated with a zero balance. I have reopened this dispute. Unless I am purchasing an online gift card that I plan to use immediately, I will no longer use Raise to buy physical cards. Buyer beware! Use caution!
PLEASE NOTE THAT RAISE.COM CUSTOMER SERVICE REACHED OUT AND HAS MADE GOOD ON MY ISSUES WITHIN 18 HOURS OF POSTING THIS REVIEW. "
"My husband and I decided to try Raise to save a little money at stores and restaurants we normally frequent. Although some of the cards we bought were fine, most of what we purchased was not.
My husband checked the balance of each card when we received it and all was as it should be. After having the cards in our possession for about a week or two, one of the cards we bought had a zero balance when we tried to use it. We promptly went home and started checking balances on the cards. 90% of the cards we purchased were at a zero balance. Although Raise has said they will refund us, (time will tell) this is so obviously a scam. We are disappointed and this is just another data point that companies like this cannot be trusted. I seriously am starting to lose my faith in humanity. How people can shamelessly steal from others is sickening.
Bottom line, don't waste your money. It's like throwing your hard earned dollars out of the car window. And don't waste your time (especially because you'll be spending way more of it than you thought trying to get your money back). "
"Since so many people complain about the gift card balance all gone after 100 days and raise doesn't bother and sorry u are screwed I cannot help kinda thing.
I am one of the victims, there is something painful I learnt from the 10 hrs of panic and anger on phone calls to raise, to Wholefood and TJMaxx store managers and customer services. Meanwhile, I am a mother of a crying 10 months old baby who I was carrying him at the TJMaxx store trying to resolved the 0 balance giftcard (I purchased from raise) problem with no results and no help. I learnt this lesson the most painful way. I cannot believe I let myself go through such terrible experience because of a mistake of buying their giftcards on raise.
I learnt This is how unsafe it is about giftcard is that, because we don't have the original purchase receipt!! I thought the TJMaxx physical giftcard was safer but not really. The person who sold us the card report lost or stolen card and get his card replaced and zero out our balance.
Because TJMaxx will only ask for the original receipt and credit card proof of payment, if u can tell them the purchase date they can help you. But of course we Will never know that piece of information. And the store asked where u got the gift card from, once they know it's from raise they said sorry we cannot help u at all.
Anyways, dont buy any gift cards unless u use it right away. That's the only suggestions most people will tell me. Or prepare to cry and panic at the store when u wanna use it to make a few purchases for your baby and family just like me.
We lost 600 dollars because of bad gift cards. Stay away from raise. It's really not worth your time and energy to go through all these troubles. U will be panic and angry like me when u found out the gift cards no longer has any money in it without u using it at All and 100 days fly pass. Raise won't even try to resolve the problem at all and throw u the its pass 100 days right away. I seriously think they are part of the scammer business now, because many of my friends experience the same thing (being scammed).
Do u guys have any "buyer be aware" experience to share or any painful stories like mine to share? Please share it here and on their Facebook and Twitter to let everyone knows!"
"I am able to get discounted gift cards from tons of retailers all the time. I love this company and how it helps my family save money.
I did have an issue with one of the gift cards I received, but received awesome support from agent, Pierre who was able to help me resolve my issue quickly. Having the ability to chat with an agent online rather than wait on hold by phone was a plus as well. My issue was resolved in under 5 minutes!
Happy Customer!!!!"
"Each representative uestions of has been very courteous. The last guy was super kind and quick and was sure to give me the correct info even for my hypothetical questions. I love Raise.com for saving me hundreds of dollars but also for guaranteeing my purchases and providing outstanding customer support!"
"I purchased $100 worth of gift cards for Whole Foods. Whole Foods won't accept them. Raise will not give me my money back, or give me a credit for the money I spent.
Months ago I purchased gift cards from Raise. Because the deal offered at the time was a great one, I purchased a few gift cards, totalling just under $100. I figured there would be no harm since in the "Expiration" field on the gift card reads "Does not expire."
Well, a few weeks ago I went to Whole Foods with a gift card, and when attempting to check out, was told by a cashier that they do not accept these gift cards. Bothered, because I paid for these, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager repeated the words I heard from the cashier.
After this, I called Raise. Representatives told me they have a 100 day money back guarantee, but cannot guarantee reimbursement for gift cards purchased more than 100 days ago, like the gift cards I purchased. Days later I receive an email stating I will not be reimbursed for my purchases because they were made longer than 100 days ago.
I called Raise again, this time on Sunday of this week, to request to speak to a manager about this. The operator pretty much refused, requiring that I speak to her instead. Lacking patience, I decided to just discuss my issue with her. This time I brought up another issue I'm having, my electronic Vitamin Shoppe gift card is not being accepted on their website. After the operator went online to look into this issue, she too noticed that my electronic gift is not being accepted. Because I purchased the gift card less than 100 days ago, she offered to reimburse my credit card for the purchase. I agreed to it. Issue resolved.
I then steered the conversation back to this original issue with gift cards from Whole Foods. The operator agreed that because I paid for these, and Whole Foods will not accept them, I need to be reimbursed. She submitted a request asking that this issue be revisited. Today I received an email response saying I will not be reimbursed for the purchases of gift cards for Whole Foods from their website because I made the purchases more than 100 days ago. In the same email I was offered $5 off my next purchase of gift cards totalling $50 or more. Wow. Really? That's the response I get?
So this issue has still, yet to be resolved. I am stuck in a situation where I am being ripped off $100 because Raise sold me gift cards that are not valid, and they refuse to provide me a refund. This even after several times telling them I will happily take other Whole Foods gift cards that have a total balance of the funds I deserve to be reimbursed for.
I really do not know what to do at this point. Can you please help?"
"I've had 4-5 cards with no value on them since I started purchasing. Customer service is always very friendly and accommodating when I explain to them the problem (especially nice recent rep who listened to my suggestions), but I no longer want to give these cards away to non-family as gifts. I have suggested that they set up an anonymous seller rating system, so that if we can see that a seller has 100% of his cards with no problem, I would buy from them as opposed to someone even with 95%.
