"Buyer Beware - Bait and Switch! I placed an order for a Samsung UN55F8000 TV on 3/16/14. It is currently listed as the Bigbox Superstore Daily Deal at $1569.99. It is also discounted $20 for customer loyalty and an additional 2% for a coupon code discount. The total price after discounts came to $1518.99 including No tax and No Shipping fees. Big Box Superstore emailed me the following day 3/17/14 and requested me to contact them via phone. The email said, Youre order is on hold due to problems verifying the billing and shipping address. I checked all of the order copies that I have and the addresses were complete and matched perfectly. I promptly called them and the customer service rep informed me that my order required ground shipping (Really, what other kind of shipping would be used to get it to my door?) He told me that ground shipping required additional insurance fees of $220.00. He told me that he would discount it to $183.00. I told him that this was a total scam - a bait and switch. He told me that it was not a bait and switch because the fees are listed on the receipt. Trust me none of my receipts has any insurance charges or requirements. I asked him to tell me where on my receipt that charge is and he would not. He told me that all TV sales require insurance. I told him that if you advertise a product and complete a sale for that product at a fixed price and then contact the customer the following day and tell them that the transaction cannot be completed without spending additional money then it is a bait and switch. Anyways, I cancelled my order. I dont usually take the time to write reviews but if this saves some of you from making a costly mistake then it is worth it. You can read other customer reviews of Big Box Superstore below and see that I am not the only person that has experienced this crooked sales tactic. It also looks like Bigbox Superstore writes a lot of their own reviews to salvage their reputation. Look how many of the reviews have exactly the same verbage - I ordered/purchased the (Model # TV) blah, blah, blah... and it was the best deal, blah, blah, blah. Looks like a few of the real reviewers (Kinkes) and (francesgoss) had the same shipping insurance thing happen to them as well. "

"Few days ago I bought a Samsung F7500 55" LED and I received it today through FedEx (Super fast shipment) Perfect!! I was little concerned at first about the prices they offer. I was thinking, how the heck they offer $500 cheaper than everyone else. I saw BigBoxSuperStore profiles on Amazon and eBay so I decided to give them a try. I called them and placed the order it was very fast and I got the tracking number the same day after about 30 mins.
They do charge "Shipping Insurance" which is around $180 for me but the total was still $500 cheaper than everywhere else. I would definitely buy from them again and recommend to anyone!

"I am now editing my review based on a conversation with a sales manager Erik at bigboxsuperstore. Apparently it was a misunderstanding with the shipping and Erik waved the shipping fee and is going to refund my $182.98. He also stated he would upgrade me from the 5-7 days standard ground to 3-5 days FedEx for free.In that case all's well, I will update after I actually receive the merchandize.
I am writing this review even before receiving the merchandise in hopes that someone else out there doesn't make the same mistake I made. This review is about the unscrupulous way in which Bigboxsuperstore.com has mislead the consumer into believing that the shipping would be free. I have purchased a 60" Samsung television from the store simply because that was the cheapest price I found at the time. I have been called to authorize an additional $182.98 for ground shipping with an insured truck. This is where they get you. In the shipping box has 5-7 Business days- free. Then there's the 3-5 Business Days $69.99 and last they have the Insured truck 3-5 business Days $200. The person on the phone says that in the drop down box states over a certain size tv ( don't remember the size he mentioned) this insured truck would be their method of shipping. This is nonsense, they intentionally set it up that way to get the extra funds.

I had elected the free ground shipping option online and as I was already at my budget for a new TV, elected to cancel my order. "My old Samsung A850 was quite a good HDTV. The picture was beautiful with great colors – unfortunately I faced problems with it last summer. I tried a lot to find a good replacement and finally bought the Samsung un65f9000 65 inch LED HD 3D TV. This TV has a great design with a grey bezel. The picture quality is excellent, with correct and saturated colors, fluid motion handling and deep black levels. Its features include great uniformity with no banding (under general viewing conditions), clouding, bright 3D, minimal light bleed or flash lighting and negligible crosstalk. There are many options for TV viewing in Smart Hub 2.0. For a slim HDTV the speakers are outstanding with excellent sound quality.

"I ordered the 65" Samsung un65f8000, was a little worried with such a big expensive item , being shipped and not knowing the company. But everything went great tv arrived undamaged and the delivery driver was nice he took inside the door and even helped me with it to the family room to unbox it and wait until I made sure everything was fine(couldn't plug in right away because I live in Chicago area and the temp was like -10 below). I heard you should let tv warm up and let any condensation evaporate. I didn't try it til later that day. Works great love it. As others say you have to pay for insurance on shipping mine was $180, but that said, I still saved over all other big box stores in my area $712.76. So I would definitely use bigboxsuperstore.com again.So you do take a chance on shipping ,but like mine made in mexico, its shipped from there anyway. It is BRAND NEW,and full warranty,in factory box. Little discrepancy in price at first but they credited my card as soon as I called."

"I ordered a Samsung 8000f 65" LED Smart TV after looking at Best Buy and even other offers online. I saved HUNDREDS of $ dollars and was absolutely blown away by the price. This is the exact TV you see in the stores (most of the time they only have 60" or below in stock). They do call you a couple of days later to confirm delivery and tell you they are using a "private carrier" and it will be an additional $200-$250 more for special delivery. Just like everything else you can negotiate it down (think I paid about $100 or so) and it was delivered 4 days later in perfect condition. Have recommended them to several people and would definitely use them again."

When I checked out it said $0.00 for shipping but when they call you back to confirm your order they hit you with the $150 or so shipping/handling charge.
