"This company does not answer the phone. After a week of waiting, I never got a shipping confirmation. I called 6 times a day for 3 days, and never got an answer. I wrote to them, and 3 days later got a response that my credit card was denied. So, I found out there was a security hold on the card. I emailed them back, and 3 days later the order shipped. Very poor communication from this company."

"I've read all the previous reviews and redoctane has not faired too well with people. My experience was a bit difference from the previous ones.

Just to warn you now, redoctane's customer service is very weak! When you call their number trying to get a hold of somebody is nearly impossible and there's no use leaving a message in any of their voice mails.

I ordered DDR Ultramix 1,2,3 and a RedOctane Afterburner pad from them and my invoce number wasn't linked up with the UPS shipment. I called a few times in the early afternoon and couldn't get anybody. I finally got somebody when I called in the evening and the person wasn't rude to me and helped me out quickly.

My product shipped on time and I'm pretty satisfied with them. I would be warey of them in the future, but can't complain.

"Company has zero customer service. No 800# to contact them. Phone constantly busy. When you do get through, you get dropped in to a voicemail system, but all mailboxes are full and you can't leave a message for anyone. I have never reached a live person.

They supposedly sent out my package about a month ago. have still not received it. DHL tracking number they gave me does not work. Finally emailed company after unable to contact via phone. received reply days later that pretty much said "we shipped it, it's your responsibility now"

"I am personally unhappy with a transaction I made with RedOctane. The box that my order shipped in was of beyond substandard quality - with a thickness less than that of a baseball card. Because of this the box was damaged during shipping and the product package itself was partially crushed.

This is of course after I was charged over $8 to ship an item that weighed less than a half of a pound via DHL. The actual product I got (a "Super Dual Box") seems to be of good quality but I'd highly recommend trying to get it from either a retail store, or buying a similar product from a different company with a better service record.

"I signed up for the game rentals $18.95/month. First of all, almost all their games are not available or there is a long wait for it.

Their practices a bit fishy too. I sent out two games to them at the same time. One, they received the next day, the other.. they received a week later. How did this happen? Just a way for them to send out less games I'm assuming.

After a month, I'm cancelling my account.

"I was under the impression that my shipping was free on an order I placed online with redoctane. They did NOT inform me of the extra 8.00 dollars they pulled off my card until the order was processed. So, I called to ask.

So this is what happened when I called:

1) I got a stupid phone tree. Then when I finally went to the operator, I was disconnected... twice.

2) When I did get through, I did get to talk to someone. But they verbally abused me BAD on the phone talking about the mistakes I DID on the website and how this was my fault.

3) This man was literally yelling at me on the phone, verbally abusing his customer, and telling me basically that I have to eat the eight bucks.

4) So when I asked for a refund, they told me that I would have to pay for shipping, PLUS a 15% restocking fee. This is stuff that they do just so you don't ask for your money back.

5) I have never felt so belittled. He even asked me for my age. I am 25, but should that matter?

If you want to have a good experience renting or buying games, get it from a company with good customer service. It's not the 8.00, it's the fact that they FAKE they have good customer service with excellent and easy returns along with a nice 1-800 number. I don't know but I think that customer service is JUST as priceless as the payment you put into a product.

DO NOT PURCHASE WITH REDOCTANE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO DEAL WITH ANY PROBLEMS ON YOUR OWN. There are much more reputable companies out there who would put their best foot out for a customer. Redoctane wouldn't crawl an inch.

"I ordered a Red Octane Ignition 2.0 DDR pad from them. It began to malfunction after 30 days of moderate use. I tried to use their online return form but only got error messages. So I contacted there 800 number, which only led me to a voice recording telling me to e-mail them. I never got a response from that address, so I found another e-mail address which I continually get fast responses from, but I still dont see any results. They need to send you a number to put on the package you send them, and I have now been waiting for over a week for them to send me the number. It seems they have begun to ignore my recent e-mails as well."

"dont buy from these fools. i like their products, but if u dont get the right thing dont expect to get it back. i spent about 10 hrs of my life trying to get an exchange and they only accepted my exchange after i spamned them with 300 emails."
