"Goods arrived but was missing the free memory card which eventually arrived mid-January after complaining.
They charged an additional £19.95 to my credit card which turned out to be subscription to the "redsave pass" which was I was not aware of. They refused to refund this amount and hence I am out of pocket.
Personally I will avoid Redsave in the future. "
"We were initially very happy with our purchase of a £40 two-way radio.
We were less happy when I logged onto my online bank account to discover that Redsave had helped themselves to a £19.95 'membership fee' and that I only just had enough time to cancel before the second fee went out. Although it's not obvious when you make a purchase from them, anyone buying anything from Redsave is committed to paying them £20 per month until they cancel.
Cancelling is not easy. You have to complete a form & post it to them by registered post, giving 7 days' notice of your intention to leave. If you're persistent, it is possible to unsubscribe online - but you need to be very persistent. I must have completed and resent my form a dozen times or so. There is a 'security code' which has to be typed by you, supposedly to confirm that you are genuinely trying to leave. However, I kept being informed that I'd got the code wrong. This was despite the fact that there were three of us who all read the same characters! My suspicion is that it's set to accept only after a set number of times.
If you buy anything from this company, it may seem that you've found a bargain, but even one membership charge will probably make your purchase more expensive than it would have been from a less unscrupulous supplier.
