"I am sure this hitch works great. But it was never installed on my van.

I realized 3 hours after placing the order that I had ordered this in error and I immediately contacted Reese Hitch to cancel my order since I hadn't yet received a shipping confirmation.

Someone emailed me back immediately to say that the hitch was already loaded on the truck so there was no way they could cancel the order. This person is the reason that this one star review exists.

If they would have taken the slightly extra effort and just had the hitch unloaded from the truck and cancelled my order, it would have saved Reese shipping and processing costs and would have saved me significant costs as well.

Everyone else at Reese Hitch was very helpful and prompt.

Obviously the loader was on top of things since they had my order picked and loaded within hours (if not minutes) of me placing the order.

The customer service person I spoke to in order to try to resolve this issue after the fact was very helpful and professional as they read the page from the Reese Hitch website that mentions that any shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer.

Even the person I handed the 48 pound hitch to at the UPS Store was professional and helpful as they balanced the hitch on their little scale and proceeded to charge me over $100 in shipping fees to ship the item back to Reese Hitch.

And Reese customer service was helpful and prompt again when they refunded my account for the original price of the hitch after receiving my return.

It's just a shame that the first person that initiated contact with me when I attempted to cancel my order didn't just go ahead and have the hitch unloaded and take care of things right then and there.

This alone is what led to me paying almost half the cost of the hitch in unrecoverable shipping costs to send the product back to Reese. UPS had to deliver it, then I had to immediately ship it back and waste my money, for no real reason.

This is the only reason for this one star review."

"Great quick service placing my order for a 1200 lb spring bar. Shipped out and received quickly. Only issue I see is the nubs on top & bottom of truck end of bar are a smaller diameter than my old ones. Kinda floppy when installed unlike the old one. Works fine though. No problems. "

"I ordered a Brinks welded one piece ball mount with 2 5/16 inch ball for 2" receivers. The ball was too big for my receiver on my travel trailer. Reese's ad said it would fit 2 inch receivers. Well it didn't fit mine. I sent it back. After I paid shipping cost and restocking fee it was a bust."
