"The reciever "neck" was not as long as I expected. When I pin my hitch, I have to get real low and have a hard time with this.
Other wise, all is fine. Jim Mullinax Jr."
"Received part with in three days of order."
"Order was quickly processed and shipped. "
"I needed to use the bench grinder where the hitch hit the car frame. The bolts had different head sizes. 3 were 15/16 one was 1-1/16. Not cool! It is installed but a lot of extra work."
"Excellent shipping protection. Easy installation with basic hand tools."
"Quick delivery and easy to install "
"I expected it to be easier to install. I had to remove the bumper and fish the bolts through the frame. Also, there are no instructions for the 4-flat trailer wiring."
“Thank you for the order, we are sorry you have difficulty with the install.
The installation should not have been this difficult. We always encourage our customers to call us if possible if the installation does not seem to match the instructions.
The 4-flat trailer wiring you bought is a "bare wire" part that is used on thousands of standard applications and an unknown number of custom applications. There is no practical way for us to supply instructions for every possible application. Again, if you give us a call, we would be happy to help you with your application.
Thank you again,
The Customer Service Team”
"Was led to believe the hitch would hook right up. Had to drill holes and cut bumper in two places."
“Thank you for the order, sorry for the difficulty with the installation.
Some versions of your vehicle require some bumper modifications, some do not. We do include the instruction on the web site that list these variations. I am sorry you did not notice these instructions when you entered your order.
You should not have had to drill any holes to install this hitch. We always encourage our customers to call us if they have any questions about the installation.
Please let us know if we can do anything else to help you with this order.

A rep from Reesehitches, reese-hitches, has responded:
“Thank you for the order, we are sorry that you had troubles installing the product.
We have sold many of these hitches and have never heard of them having the wrong sized fasteners. With that said, it is possible our fastener supplier sent us the wrong size bolt mixed in with the correct sized bolts. We are sorry for the hassle this caused.
As for your having to grind the hitch to make it fit. We do not ever recommend modifying the product. We would first ask that you call us and discuss the problem if at all possible when there is installation problems.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help you with this order.
