"I ordered two of the Hexagon Door Knockers in lacquered brass on February 25th, 2016 and did not receive any updates regarding my order (outside of the confirmation of the order). On the morning of March 2nd, I called the Rejuvenation customer service phone number to follow up with my order.
The representative (I believe her name was Vivian) looked into my order and saw that it should have been shipped much sooner, as it was not an item that needed assembly. After some investigating, she found that the item was no longer in stock, despite the website indicating that it was in stock, even to this moment (please see attached screen shot). The representative then apologized for the misinformation and told me that she would look into the possibility of calling brick-and-mortar stores to see if the knockers were in stock and if they could be shipped directly from the store. She told me that she would contact me back afterwards.
After over 4 hours of not hearing back, I called again to be on hold for over 20 minutes before talking to another representative who helped me follow up with the representative who helped me in the morning.
Vivian contacted me back shortly after to inform me that the item was no longer in stock in any of the brick-and-mortar stores as well. She apologized and informed me that the order would be cancelled and that my credit card was never charged.
I had ordered this item well in advance in order to complete a project by a deadline of early next week. My experience with Rejuvenation has been greatly disappointing. Not only was I misled by the incorrect information on the website, the inefficiency of the systems at Rejuvenation did not notice that my order was stuck for almost a full week. If I had not called customer service, I do not believe that my order status would have changed nor my situation resolved. I am now also facing a bind on time to figure out an alternate solution to my needs by early next week, when I could have been searching during the time I lost while waiting to hear back from Rejuvenation.
Both customer service representatives with whom I talked to on March 2nd were very helpful, but overall, it will be difficult to have confidence shopping at Rejuvenation. I appreciated the apologies offered by the representatives, but it ultimately does not change or alleviate my situation in any way.
I sent Rejuvenation a copy of the above on March 2nd and have not yet received a response. Yet the lacquered brass version of the hexagon door knockers has been pulled from the website within the past 24 hours. While they have had the time to update their website, they not spent any time or energy to address my correspondence. Their silence communicates enough for me to never shop there again and to warn others to avoid shopping there."
