"We called looking for a fob that was for a Hyundai 2012. The Dealerships wanted to charge an enormous fee
for the fob and could not tell us if it was the same as the original, but we would still need to pay for it. They
also had an enormous sync fee in addition. REMOTES UNLIMITED not only could find our original type of fob
but told us exactly how to sync it if we wanted to do it. The RU company said to call back if we had any problems
and they would walk us through the procedure that it is not difficult. We were so impressed with the
customer service and the openness extended to us that we are recommending RU to our friends and family."
"I purchased a remote for $20. I was not able to program it. I called customer service and they tried to help me program it and it still did not work . My only option was to return it with a $10 restocking fee.not worth it with also paying for postage. Later had a mechanic try and could not program along with a company rep. Now they won't even take it back said too late. Very bad customer service. Do not buy from this company "
"I ordered a keyless remote for my 1999 Toyota Camry at a cost of $55. The remote arrived on schedule and appeared to be newly manufactured. The instructions were helpful, but somewhat vague and incomplete. After spending an hour doing additional research in the Internet, I was finally able to install and configure the remote. Once I knew exactly what to do (all the steps), it took about 15 minutes to program the remote. I tested it repeatedly and experienced no problems.
Genuine Toyota Camry remotes cost between $90 and $175, so this was definitely a more cost effective solution. My recommendation is that the instructions be revised to include how to locate the ECU, get access to it, and make the wiring disconnection. Also, these instructions should be posted on the company’s web-site. This is a standard business practice and allows the customer to get a REAL idea about what’s all involved. The term “User Programmable” (falsely) implies that installation is fairly simple.

"Delivered promptly what they promised for a lower price then any other, the young man I spoke with at customer service was knowledgeable and polite."
"I purchased a remote from PepBoys for 49.95 which was $10.00 more than online plus tax,so real cost is about $54.50.I had reciept in hand and called them on a Monday at 11amCST which is within the hours of operation.Pressed #2 for Tech support and no answer and it hung up on me.I called back and pressed #1 for sales and it again hung up on me.All I had was a simple question but if they don't answer the phone that tells me it's a one man operation and he only answers the phone if he's not too hung over or he's not puking into his toilet which is exactly where his head belongs...in the toilet!Low class operation.I have nothing good to say about this company and I've been in the automotive service business for more than 35 years.Never again!!!"
"I needed a replacement for a generation 5 Camry's SECURIKEY+ remote, since both of mine are broken in various ways at this point. I wish Remotes Unlimited had a way to buy via the Internet, but otherwise, the remote was well-priced and works great. Customer service over the phone when I ordered was good. I would do business with them again."
"purchased remote for keyless entree for my 2006 gmc-websites claim they have all codes- well they didn't-they told me i had to go to dealer- and now they refuse to make a complete refund-they want to charge 25% restock fee-if i knew they couldn't program remote never would have purchased it- they also claim that their website makes notice that remote needs to be prgrammed with dealer scanner- well, right after i talk to the company rep. i went online- and guess what- there was nothing about a scanner.- caveat emptor- one day i wil learn"
"We ordered a remote a few months ago from Remotes Unlimited, and gave them the remote code from our existing remote. When the new remote arrived, it didn't work - so I opened it up and checked the cuts made to the PCB board. Whoever made the cuts made the wrong cuts, so we had to email a photo proving the mistake and wait for a new one to be sent out. Disappointing that they couldn't get something right the first time, but glad they fixed the mistake.
Last week, we ordered a duplicate of the same remote, and wouldn't you know - when it arrived, it didn't work, AGAGIN. I opened it up - this time, the correct cuts had been made, but the cuts were so sloppy they cut into the main lines which aren't supposed to be cut. Anyways, sent in email showing the goof, and a new remote is on the way.
Very disappointing that 2 out of 2 transactions resulted in a non-working remote the first time. Very annoying, too. It's good that they fix their mistakes - but I wonder how a company like this makes any money.
Edited to add:
We've been double-charged for both remotes, for the working and non-working one. Called the merchant to remove the double charge - they claim they don't have a record of the second charge. Will have to jump through hoops with the credit card company to get my refund."
