"This is concerning Superpass by RealNetworks. I was trying one of those online scams where in order to get something free you have to sign up for one of their partner offers. So I signed up for a free trial for Superpass. Of course I couldn't cancel online. That would be too convenient. When I called to cancel my trial, the woman on the other end of the line was clearly from India and very hard to understand. And she irritated me by telling me what she was going to do rather than what I wanted her to do. Since I hadn't really tried out the product, she offered to extend my free trial. I reluctantly agreed, which I instantly regretted after hanging up when I thought about waiting on hold for so long a second time.
Of course, the new trial expiration date came and went and I forgot about it. My card was charged $15. I emailed their customer service saying I wanted to cancel. It wasn't easy finding a real email address to direct my request to. They cancelled my account, but not before charging me again. I had to file a complaint with my credit card company."
