"CS did not know about Nikon firmware updates to make the P lenses compatible with the 3300 and 3400 cameras with which you pair the lenses. I was told that the auto-focus would not work with the P Lens. Nikon says not true. Firmware version 1.01, which may already be on the camera makes the auto-focus compatible. If the camera has an older version 1.00, the download and install is quick and easy."
