"This store has some good prices. I bought a bunch of DVDs from here. One of them was a defective disc that wasn't playable so I sent a message asking if I could get it replaced or a refund for it. They got back to me after a few days and said they sent a replacement for me along with a package with paid return shipping to send back the defective disc. The new disc works, and I didn't lose any money, so I'm happy. "
"I had a great experience with the Anime Corner Store! I was searching the internet everywhere for an OOP manga that was selling for no less than $110 on other sites. I was amazed to find it here for only $11! A super lucky money-saving find and it came in fantastic quality. I would definitely buy from them again. Good prices and good inventory! My only issue is the $25 minimum requirement to place your order, however, it's a fairly low requirement and with their great inventory and prices, you could get more bang for your buck."

"I really wanted to love RACS. They are a small player when it comes to anime goods, and I only found out about them because someone mentioned them on a reddit post. During their Christmas sale in the beginning of January I took a look at what they were offering, and they had some killer prices compared to other stores (about 50% cheaper, sometimes more). I decided to give them a try.
Everything was going great until I got a shipping notification: two of my items were not shipped with the rest of my order. I quickly contacted about them and Bob himself told me the items were not in-stock, and that they were currently back-ordered. First strike. This is a huge pet peeve of mine, when online retailers don't convey this crucial information prior to checking out. I never buy back-ordered stuff because it's easy to get burned with it, which I had already learned through prior experience. It usually takes months to receive the items, or the items get discontinued and your order gets canceled. If there is anything positive about this is that they didn't bill me for the items that didn't ship. Bob told me expect the items sometime in February, which is when publishers usually do reprints and fulfill restocking orders after the holiday season.
In the meantime, I got my first package in. I must say that it was nicely packaged, and arrived on a timely manner. No problems here. I forgot about the issue until mid February, when I got a notification of a charge from RACS from my bank. I was only for the amount of one of the items, so I thought that I would shortly get a shipping notification. Several days went by, and I got nothing, at which point I contacted customer service again. Strike two. Once again, Bob replied to me and told me that they had just gotten a big restocking shipment and than in fact one of my items had been shipped to me. He also provided me with a tracking number. At this point, I was pretty annoyed with the store. They had retained critical information from me twice, and I had to contact them to know what was going on. No one likes to be billed and not receive any information as to whether your items shipped or not. Additionally, the order page on their website didn't reflect any of this information either, and still doesn't.
I proceeded to send them an email explaining my dissatisfaction with my experience as a first time customer. I really think they have great deals, and my items were packaged nicely, and I would've been back if it weren't for these recurring issues of not communicating important information to the customer. No one likes to purchase items that appear to be in-stock only to be notified after checkout that they are actually back-ordered (with no clear date as to when they are going to receive the items). No one likes to be billed and then receive no notification that your items have been shipped.
Bob once again replied to me, and not once did he apologize for any of these things. He told me RACS would not be a good fit for me and that he would just cancel the last remaining item from my original order. Strike three. Since they don't want my business, or my feedback for that matter, I guess I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

"So, it's my first time ordering from their own website. I ordered from them before on amazon which, their quality is amazing. The thing is, amazon is legit and protects the buyers more so, the seller really has to uphold their quality. But, don't be fooled. The moment you buy from their own website (not amazon), customer service is not good. They ignore your questions or issues with damaged goods because they can which, is why they don't allow paypal payments. I paid full price for cardcaptor sakura premium edition and get a damaged one and they replied instantly within 1 business day. They were defensive about the damages and didn't want to accomodate. I simply asked if they had a better condition in stock.. Then, I replied with more details of the damage and ****! They went awol for several days. Hm.. Not going to order from them again :/

"I have been using RACS for years, they are the best place to buy anime from if you do not want to deal with retailers. I have bought from them many times and each time my order arrives when it should and the DVD's are retail, not bootlegged.

" I do not usually post reviews, but their rating has been grossly misrepresented. I would wholeheartedly not recommend anyone to purchase anything from animecornerstore.com and to avoid them completely. This review is to prevent anyone the hassle and frustration I have since my dealing with this store.
I have recently purchased a few items and received them damaged. There were huge dents and rips in the manga storage box that I could not use the item properly. I do not know how they missed the condition of the item when they were packaging my order, but the box it came in was pretty bad. They probably thought they could sell the damaged product for full price and see if I would go through the hassle of returning it to them. I doubt the USPS would purposely beat up the box that bad and I get a lot of deliveries from them and without damage. I emailed customer service twice about it, since the only way to contact them was through email and there was not even a phone number available. So after 2-3 business days, when their site says to expect a response after 1 business day, Bob replies and says there would be a replacement coming to me. I asked for a tracking number soon after, nothing, their customer service just vanished. I wait for a week, and nothing has been delivered from them or received any responses. I know they have been purposely avoiding my emails since I emailed them with a different email and they responded within couple of hours. They seem able to update their store blog constantly but never have any time to respond to my emails. So it's been 3 weeks today and now I am stuck with a defective item that I cannot use and now I'm going to be out more money by returning this back to them.
Update (5/10/10): They did send me a replacement package but after the 2 week delay for something I needed immediately and being left in the dark with zero customer service, I can't exactly praise this store for its service.
