"I placed my first order with RockAuto yesterday. My order was for a new fuel tank for my old minivan. Within one hour of placing my order, I received a confirmation that it had been shipped. I then found out that I needed one more part so I ordered it separately since the tank had already been shipped. RockAuto only charged $16.80 to ship the big fuel tank, which I find extremely reasonable and, to my amazement, it was delivered the very next day. The second part I ordered was also delivered then. It was then that I found that RockAuto included the other part and the gasket that goes with it with the fuel tank so I really didn't have to order the other part after all but that's no problem. I couldn't be happier with RockAuto. However, this is my first order so I haven't had much experience with them and I did see some complaints about them on various review forums. But all I can say is that I am absolutely delighted with their prices and incredibly fast shipping. BTW, I first checked the price of the second part at a local dealership. They wanted almost $50 for it which is absolutely ridiculous. (It was the locking ring for the fuel pump.) RockAuto charged $3.45 for the exact same thing. That's really all it's worth since it is must a stamped sheet metal ring but RockAuto didn't try to rip me off like the dealership. I will definitely do business with RockAuto again! "

"Tried Rock Auto after hearing great things about them It was a mistake - problems with customer service and getting refunds on incorrect parts. Very disappointed.

I ordered a Spectra Premium fuel pump assembly. The received part was not as pictured on their website, the part in the Spectra box was by a different manufacturer, and it was not a good fit for my tank.

RMA'd - I had to pay shipping back and Rock Auto did not refund my original shipping. Apparently, the customer service rep put down "Customer did not want" instead of "Incorrect Part Shipped". So now I'm out two shipping charges.

To make matters worse, even though I followed their shipping directions exactly, they claimed I shipped to the their call center instead of the return address they gave me and charged me a THIRD shipping charge to send it to the return center.

Even after I sent them a copy of the Fedex shipping forms showing the correct address, they would not budge.

I will not be doing business with Rock Auto in the future."
