"I am a victim of Identity Theft from a member of the current or past staff of Rocket Camera Manual "Manny" Vigil who has fraudulantly used my Social Security number to obtain numerous sources of credit including $74,000 with Innovative Merchant Solutions, $1,900 with Office Depot, $1,800 with Staples, $299 on an Exxon Gas Card, $161 on a 76 Gas Card, $? on a Cheveron Gas Card, $188 on a Shell Gas Card and more credit accounts are now popping up. I had to put a fraud alert on my account to stop the accounts from continuing to open up. This has been a very time consuming project calling calling each of these credit sources, filling out affidavits and sending in documentation. A police report has been filed and I am looking forward to justice being served. Bottom line is whether Manny still works for this Company or not I wanted to alert people that if you have any dealings with Manny Vigil be very cautious. "

" I ordered a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx GPSr from Rocket Camera because they had the lowest price. Not only did I not receive the GPSr they also charged an additional $216 to my card. I filed fraud charges against them yesterday with my bank and had my card deactivated. I had tried to contact them before I went to the bank through their website and all it is, is just their name on there now with nothing to click on.

"My husband ordered a Tracking system from Rocket Camera 2-12-2010 $482.99 we checked out website” investigated” we thought... One thing we did not check unfortunately was BBB website! PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN to these reviews!! THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF. Not only is there service crappy they STOLE our CREDIT CARD information and bought $542.82 in furniture. I have PROOF!
Rocket Camera called and left a message for my husband to call back 2-16-10. My husband called him back that afternoon he stated he “could not send the tracking system except for COD due to people disputing credit cards after they had already sent the product”. He went on claiming that they were a “very small company and the tracking systems were to expensive to have this happen”. “Preceded into a story about him calling a customer after, they disputed credit card and the customer sent him a box of dog feces back instead of product”. My husband stated he was going to talk to me about this and call him back because he was a little skeptical seeing that we had already gave this company all our credit card information. Well I was already calling the credit card company to see if we had any problems. GUESS WHAT…. There was! A charge had been made to a furniture company that day 2-16-10 for $542.82. I canceled card and proceeded in calling the furniture company. Of course there was no information to give until the next day due to online transaction. I called back the furniture company the next day they looked up the transaction. They ask if my last name was LOWE. I said no then they ask if I knew a GREGORY LOWE? I said NO, but the name struck a bell with me I had seen it somewhere the night before. “BBB WEBSITE” Gregory Lowe is the contact of operations for Rocket Camera. Plain as day there it was. NOW Rocket camera will not answer the phone after 100’s of calls no answer!! We have notified the police department in our state plus California. We have a case number and will proceed with this till the end. There is no excuse for a thief and as it looks in the prior BBB reviews this company has been known for calling there customer’s thieves well they need to think about what they are doing before they open there mouths. We understand that this is not a great amount of money, and we don’t have to cover it due to credit card protection, but we work HARD FOR OUR MONEY!!! We are trying to provide for our children and teach them right from wrong. How do you do that when you just let something like this fly? This is NOT RIGHT! This company should go down, and if we have anything to do with it, IT WILL!!!

"I ordered a Canon T1i from this company on January 15th. On the 19th they charged my credit card. On the 21st a box arrived at my house from Rocket Camera but there was no camera in it and no invoice. I immediately called the company and their response was we will have a 7-10 business day investigation with UPS at the end of which you will be shipped another camera or get a refund. As this was a camera valued at $800 you can imagine I was very worried about this and contacted them several times after that to see what the status was.
On the 9th day my contact emailed me that they didn't have the camera in stock and that a check would be mailed to me. I responded that that was not satisfactory, that I wanted the amount credited to my card...per their online return policy which states returns will be credited back on the payment means that they were made with. The contact was not helpful so I called their accounting department. Little was I prepared for what happened next. The Rocket Camera employee that I spoke to on the phone with was abusive, insulting, unprofessional and eventually hung up on me. He called me a liar, a thief, said I had threatened them and could not tell me when the check would be sent to me because they thought I was going to file a dispute with my bank and they would have to wait to see what I was going to do. After that I emailed my contact a detailed message saying that I did not want to file a dispute but if I didn't have a refund by 2/8 (10 business days later) that I would have to. I later called her when she didn't respond to my email and she said that a credit had been cleared by management and should occur on my card within a day. The next day I emailed to ask where the credit was and she said I had misconstrued what she said on the phone and that I had to wait for the investigation to finish. In the end 2/8 came with no refund and I began the dispute process with my bank.

Rocket Camera did not give me a truthful time frame and they also were unprofessional in their communication and manner. The only time a company would act like this and treat their customers as Rocket Camera does is when they have something to hide.

My advice: Never order from this company, they are not a reputable business and are not to be trusted to receive the product you ordered in a timely fashion or to receive it at all. They also can not be trusted to give you a refund promptly.

"STAY AWAY!!!

I ordered an item and my card was immediately charged. Then they called and said they could not ship to my brother, so I canceled the order. They called again and asked me not to cancel and assured they could ship. After more than a week of waiting for tracking numbers, I wrote and asked for one. They canceled the order. They claim I'll be refunded but I don't believe them, since reputable companies do not charge before an item is shipped. This was annoying enough, but then, AFTER the order was canceled, they called threatening me with legal action, as another review mentions below. This would be laughable were it not so aggravating. What will they tell the police? That they robbed me? Stay far away from these awful, insane people.

"ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY (SEE UPDATE BELOW)

Communication was great until I insisted on receiving a UPS tracking number.

Prior to placing my order, I emailed them to confirm whether the item was indeed in stock (a Canon lens at a pretty good price). I received an email almost immediately, confirming that the item was in stock. I placed the order and my account on Rocket Camera's website showed the order as "Processing." My credit card was charged almost immediately for the full amount (I placed the order in the evening, Eastern time, and my credit card account had a charge the next day).

Items in stock are said to be shipped within two-three days from ordering. I ordered on a Sunday evening. On Thursday, after my inquiring, they said that it was due to ship. On Friday, after my inquiring, they said it had shipped but that the warehouse had not provided them with a tracking number. On Monday, I inquired again, twice, about the UPS tracking number, but they never responded. (Throughout these days, my account kept showing the order as "Processing.") On Tuesday, I disputed the charges with my credit card company, which told me I had the right to canceling this transaction if I wanted to.

A sad experience.

UPDATE: On 01/26/10, after my credit card had already disputed the charge and after the order had been closed, I received several telephone calls from Rocket Camera well into the evening; in recorded messages on my answering machine, they spoke of "an urgent matter" and one that was "going to turn into a legal matter." After I took one of these calls, the alleged representative of this "Loss Prevention Department" was so abusive and intimidating that I felt the need of immediately filing a report with the Police, that same evening. The Police asked me to alert them immediately if any other call from this company were to reach me (and if that happens, I certainly will). I also spoke with my bank. The bank will take care of recovering the funds. It is a shame that Rocket Camera is allowed to have the BBB seal on its website, which is the main reason why I placed my order. Everyone who had similar experiences, besides seeking the protection of one's credit card and reporting everything to the appropriate authorities, should also file a complaint with the BBB because the Bureau needs to know of the behavior of this company. (I recommend that you save and keep all voice recordings and email exchanges you had with this company, as well as all print-outs of your order and account statement as shown on their website.)

"placed order by phone on wednesday, paid for overnight shipping, and was assured I would get my in-stock item by friday.

thursday my credit card company called to confirm I had placed the order, and I said I had. my card was charged for the full amount.

i never received an order confirmation email, so called to confirm on thursday. they had my email address wrong (fair enough, as i'd ordered over the phone). corrected that info, and was sent an "invoice" pdf, but no tracking number.

i continued to not get tracking info, but figured since I'd been charged, we were on schedule.

I created an account on their website, but my phone order didn't show up when I logged in.

on friday, when the package hadn't shown up with UPS (they delivered another item from a different source), I called again. was told that it had shipped out friday for saturday morning delivery (free shipping upgrade). i really needed it for the weekend, so i accepted this.

it was not delivered saturday. they are closed on weekends and couldn't talk to anyone until monday.

monday i called again. it took them several minutes to find my order in their system. they said not only had it not shipped, but it was now backordered and would ship out the following wednesday.

i canceled my order. my credit card has not been reimbursed yet, but it's only been a day, so it may just be taking a few days to show up.

rocket camera had a great price, and were always very nice when i talked to them on the phone. but i can't help but rate this transaction as a total fail.
