"I ordered a large amount of ammo prior to the COVID 19 crisis, in 3 different calibers. Shortly after there was a message saying orders were being delayed due to Covid 19. So I waited, and waited, and waited. I checked 9often and my order kept saying "processing". After a few weeks I sent 2 different emails a couple of weeks apart. I also tried calling a few times, and was one time on hold over 40 minutes. I never spoke to a person or was even connected with an automated system! There was never a response to my emails. Then, 7 weeks after my order was placed, I received an email saying my order was cancelled!! Even though, I receive emails every week promoting their sales, they email said my items weren't in stock!! After almost 2 months?!?!?! So, apparently l, they take orders for items they dont even have!! And during thos time, I passed up numerous opportunities to buy elsewhere, because I was certain my order was being filled. And the day before I received this email, we purchased a riding mower from the store, which we also had a terrible experience with!! After we paid and purchased, the cashier in front was arguing with another employee to help us load the mower!! So, we were finally told to pull around behind the store, after waiting almost 25 minutes after purchase, to have it loaded. So we pulled around and waited 20 more minutes, then my son went back in, and was told they could not find the key or the paperwork to go with the mower we just purchased. So, we asked if we could just take one of the others that's was just like it. So we pulled back up front where the others were outside. A nice, older man did come out, but informed us that he had a bad hip and a bad back and didnt normally work in that department so he wouldnt be much help to load. But, finally, after having to go back in and make sure the bar code was the same and an finding the key to this one and struggling to get the right key to unlock the cord that held the, we managed to load it into the back of our pickup truck. This whole transaction took over an hour after we had paid for it. Rural King obviously does not put customers very high on their list of importance. I am very upset about my order being cancelled after almost 2 months. If it was not in stock, then it should have never been accepted my order, so I could purchase elsewhere. Also, the email showing my order cancellation, had the same customer service email address and phone number to call if any questions.....apparently they also find it funny to give this info, knowing there will be no response.
When I called the number it did say this time that their phone service was temporarily shut down. Buyers beware...."
"Ordered just before the COVID-19 pandemic started, and before people lost their minds over ammo, but as I came to find out it didn't matter. I tried and tried to contact RK-Guns, without avail! No contact from them to me and no response back from emails, called their corporate number only to be in hold for 20+ min. Finally after 7 weeks they sent me an email stating "sorry due to the COVID-19 problem we have cancelled your order", WTF? This was the first AND last time I will be ordering from Rural King!"
"Saw they had a particular model rear tine garden tiller available at the Hamilton Ohio store after not having available at two other stores around Dayton. After 4 attempts to get someone at Customer Service a lady answered. I asked her about the product and she tried to transfer me three times to someone in that department with no one answering. When no one answered I asked if she tell me if it’s available. She said she was new and she couldn’t check but if it was showing online available to go ahead and order it and should be able to come down to pick it up. I went ahead and made the online for over $600 and waited for email notification that I could come and pick it up. The day ended and no email. I called 24 hrs after order only to receive another lady in Customer Service tell me that they are now out of stock. No apologies, no explanation, no solution to obtain the product simply an “out of stock” comment followed by “you’ll get a refund in a few days after it’s processed”. So $600 on hold that I can’t use to buy another one from somewhere else all because of poor customer service and supposed online inventory availability. Likely the order wasn’t pulled in time and the inventory went out the door that day because someone was too busy or lazy to pull and update. Thank you Rural King for wasting my weekend when I could have been planting. "
"I bought a bug zapper and slip and slide payed $20 for shipping just to have the slip and slide cancelled. Then the bug zapper come broken. Been on hold for 1 hr 45 mins so far."
"Not even sure if they have an online customer service department?!?! Was on hold for 2 hours and 45 minutes only to be disconnected when I was 3rd from being answered. Being disconnected not only happened once, but two days in a row after waiting hours each time. Thought the online Customer Service might go a little smoother....only to be knocked off 4 times during an hour and a half wait. Sent emails with no response. Called a local store only to find out they will not assist with online orders at all. Still missing two items from my order. Guess it is a lost cause, but lesson learned. I will never order from Rural King online again."
"I ordered dog food and bird food online to pick up from the store in Morganton, NC. Paid in full with PayPal. Received email that order was ready. When I tried to pick up order, the dog food was not there. The “manager “ said my email stated order was incomplete . I checked my email in front of him and it did not. My PayPal account was charged for the $58 bag of food. Then he turned around and got a bag off the shelf. I had to pay for another bag. My account was reimbursed around four days later. The reason I order online is because they usually do my have the food and size I need. This happened before and was told my bag was resold but they found another bag. I emailed Customer Service without any reply. Sorry TS, Petsmart just got a new customer!!!"

"I ordered thousands of dollars in merchandise from them on the 16th Of March no tracking numbers they do not return emails which I’ve sent one every week cents trying to get tracking numbers and I’ve called multiple times only to be put on hold one time for 45 minutes and got hung up on in the last time for 58 minutes and got hung up on never getting to actually talk to somebody at this point I’m contacting my credit card company and Getting my money back for fraud"
"I bought a trampoline online for me to pick up from store. I made 4 follow ups on my order. A week later , ( me waiting for about 3 hours in on an online CHAT)
they told me that the Item is OUT OF STOCK and is being cancelled. NO Apologies NOTHING!!!! Bad customer service"

"I ordered a gift card weeks ago because I thought I was simplifying things by not going to Dothan. It was supposed to arrive in a couple of days but it NEVER arrived, even after numerous contacts through email and an hour long wait on the phone. (I was 40th in the queue) I've filed to get by money back through Paypal because they now are saying they never received my order! This has been such a pain! Never again!! Also, I left a review on their site and even though all it said was what I said in the above words, they rejected it. Shocking business practices! "

10 DAYS LATER refunded 2 of the 3 items and kept the shippong for all 3. MY SUGGESTION: Do NOT do business with this company

"I recently purchased 6chicks. The very first night I had one die,i bought 6 more the next day (originally was only going to get a replacement but didn't want the chick to be lonely on the way home) the very next day my chicks seemed to be acting weird (diarrhea, unbalanced, loss of appetite, pecking at each others butts,ect. ) did my research come to find out the chicks I purchased the last were infected with coccidiosis, by the time I found out what was going on I had 3 more die. I called rural king and notified them of the recently purchased chicks from there being sick. They didnt care,hung up on me after telling me they must have got it from my coop (these chicks are the first ones I've ever had) at this point I have 3 chicks out of my 12 that have survived (so far) and they are being treated. (Hatched 2/19/20) Rhode island reds,silkies. Never again will I purchase chicks from here. Dont reccomend for anyone to. I would give zero stars with my experience if could.
