"A long time ago I used to shop at Ryan's Pet Supplies when I needed something low priced and knew I was trading savings for a mediocre experience. Over the last few years something has changed. The prices are still great but they've improved their website so it's easier to find things, customer service is super nice on the phones the few times I've needed to call in, and I get my shampoo orders faster. If they keep this up they'll have my pet grooming salons business for life! "
"I have ordered from Ryans a few times and like their products. This time I ordered a Grooming Table from them. They advertised a huge graphic across this product that said in Bright Red Letters "FREE Shipping". Sure as can be no shipping applied when I checked out. About a week later I get an email saying, "In regards to your recent online order with us, the shipping cost did not estimate for you online correctly. The estimated shipping charges will be $43.60, this is for the table only because it is excluded from the flat rate or free shipping promotions". They have Free shipping all the time on a lot of items like clippers and such. But that is done with a code. This was advertised on the item itself. They told me an additional $43 of shipping and offered no concession on their part for their mistake. They made it sound like it was my fault!
They had the Free Shipping on that part for a while and still have it on there. Really unhappy with this.

"Very unsatisfied by poor service on web site and by phone. Ryan's charges a $5.50 handling fee, not disclosed on their web site, for orders under $50. The site is very difficult to use and requires registration before purchasing anything. They shipped very promptly, but charged me the handling charge and the shipping for the entire order, but only shipped half the order. They never revealed on the phone that they were out of stock on half my order [I would not have ordered if they had told me] and they sent 2 confirming emails never mentioning the out of stock issue. The box arrived with a note telling me I had to reorder the out of stock items, which would require another visit to the web site or another phone call: insult to injury.
They refused to refund the handling charge and were rude on the phone when I called to complain about the huge shipping and handling fee for a few items.
I would not recommend doing business with this company. "
