"Let me start by establishing that I live in California, the state that wants to mandate that you pay $50 to get a background check each year just to purchase ammunition (this would effectively prevent online retailers from selling into the state). Also, in Southern California, even the outdoor ranges restrict/ban the use of bi-metal jacket ammunition. This is my experience with one of the better local gun stores:
Me: Is that ammunition magnetic or copper jacket?
Clerk: Ugh, why?
Me: So that I can use it at the range...
Clerk: It's non-magnetic...
Me: Okay, I'll take 200 rounds!
I get home to my magnet... bi-metal jacket ammunition...
If I shop at SGAmmo, however, I get an e-mailed notification when new stock arrives, something like this:
"True non-magnetic XXXX ammo at a price that is affordable to shoot. Don't miss out if you are a California customer..."
Here is a company, located 1,500 miles away, that is more aware of our wacky regulations than a guy that open carries... while selling guns and ammo! SGAmmo always seem to find those unusual calibers or the ammunition that you wished existed but never thought actually would... DDUPLEX (lead free) slugs make me think that "Shotgun Joe" was right, maybe I should "get a shotgun."
My final anecdote to this scenario is; I e-mailed them to thank them for their service, value and selection at 2PM California time on a Saturday. They replied with an appreciative response by 2:05PM on the same day.
There are times when SGAmmo is out of stock and I find an oddball web-site, sometimes with an even lower price per round, but those one-off dealers never provide the consistent value that I have had by shopping with SGAmmo. SGAmmo is my go-to, something dramatic would need to happen for me to go somewhere else first."

In the past 6 months SGAmmo has become my go to source. 1) They have product many others do not have 2) They ship quickly and packages show up in great shape 3) Pricing even with shipping cost is better in many cases than some places that include Free Shipping by the case 4) If you ask them to notify you when back in stock or write them asking about ammo, they reply rapidly. The only negative issue, the price was mis-advertised on-line by $2 on a case versus what I was charged (Typo On-Line I imagine).Highly recommend giving them a shot ;)"
