"First, I wanted to write about their staff. I was in contact with William from Shintokyo. He was very cordial throughout the entire order process. They have much in stock that is not listed on their website, and from the beginning he was able to help me through the entire process with ease. Shintokyo is an actual small store in Adelaide, so they were able to go into such detail as to tell me what would fit in a certain size box, and allow me to adjust my order accordingly. He also responded to all my inquiries within a few days.
The item itself took quite a while as it was ground/sea shipping, plus there may have been customs/misdelivery problems (not due to ST's actions at all). I would recommend US buyers use Air Mail, and of course, always use insurance. Shintokyo is one of the few stores out there that charges you exactly what their fees are, and they receive my highest praise for that.
Finally, I wanted to write about the quality of the product. The pricing was very fair for such an imported good, and they were nice enough to afford me a small discount. The products themselves were some Virtual On Kaiyodo models, and they were in very good condition when they arrived. Packaging was done well, and none of the boxes showed any shipping damage at all.
I would recommend Shintokyo for those harder to find goods - and if you have questions, your best bet is to ask the sales associates. William was into the same type of models, so he was able to provide some unique insights. It's always best when the people there know the material they are selling.
